Questions abound....

I'm fairly new to the shard and haven't played UO in roughly 10 years so I've got some questions. Any future questions I ask I will confine to this thread. I will always try and look up answers before posting the questions. So if I post a question it is because I looked and couldn't find an answer. If you know of a link that describes the answer to my questions in detail please by all means post it. I'm not adverse to reading.

To start out I have two questions for now...

What does it mean when someone talks about "relayer's" when refering to weapons..and I think armor?

What is a GoC?

a relayer is an item that has been changed to another slot. for example a weapon leveled up to 100 then turned into a helm.

GoC stands for Gem of Completion from the mage quest. it gives you really good gear. you can view the gear in town center south of the telepad. there are two guys standing there bragging about his armor. they are artifact 70's which means they are awesome. good luck

How can you change an item into something else? IE turn the lvled up weapon into the helm? Also why would one do this?

let's take a titan hammer for instance because of the str +15 on the weapon. you level it giving it hp bonus 8, dex bonus 8, intel bonus8, hps regen 8, mana regen 8, spell damage increase 20, etc... in other words when leveling you can add bonus's then by paying 500 eds you can turn it into a god like armor.



or maybe a ring.
