Having trouble with SOS

Post by ChoGath »

I decided to post here first as I don't know if there is any other player having trouble like me, so i won't jump to assumption this is a bug, but here is my problem:

I've had 3 SOS' now that i just can't fish out... here are the specifics about the cases:
- They are normal SOS, not ancient
- I got to the exact coordinates and fished the exact tile that was on the SOS
- Also fished the entire general area of coordinates (if it says 3°12'N 13°3'W I'd fish 3N 13W entirely)
- Checked coordinates using razor map
- Got to the coordinates first just by checking on map than tried again with easyuo script SOSmaster, which would take me to the same location
- Only tried to fish on tram up untill now, as it's easier to use world tp to get near the coordinates

So, what i want to know is, has anyone fished SOS lately?
Were you able to do them?
Did you fish on tram or fel?
Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Thx for help

When you open the SOS, it states "either Trammel or Felucca"

If it's not in Tram, then try Felucca. I've also had one work in Tokuno ocean.

Try to get UO Auto Map to work on your machine. Yes I know the program is difficult to get to work on newer machines with Win 7/9. I run XP so can't help you get UOAM to run. You'll have to ask others with the newer operating systems to help you out if you run newer than XP.

It's very very very very handy for fishing up SoS. With UOAM, you can save a lot of SOS, input coordinates and save. Then when you feel you have enough, look at the map in general and see where you have the most SoS coordinates and just sail around without having to open up all the SoS all the time. Just make sure you have all checked SoS in your pack as you sail around.

Well, they all said "tram or fel", but I'll give a shot at fel and even tokuno before I page a gm

Good thing that I'm on XP then  though it's x64... hope i don't get any trouble from that

Once I have my results I'll post them back here so if anyone ever has this kind of trouble they can check this out

Finally did it!

So apparently, even though it says Felucca OR Trammel, the SOS is only fishable on one facet... :verymad:
In my case, i was able to fish them on Fel.

As I've fished for a while on both facets and believe got MIB on both, I can't tell for sure if the facet which you fish the MIB has any relation to the facet you have to fish the SOS...

Well, if anyone has more info to add to this subject, feel free to do so... as for me, from now on I'll only fish on fel
