neither, because it's a crafted item.

It really depends on your gear and your preference.... it seems (in my opinion) these are what most ppl have....

Damage Increase (that is if you do not have any gear with some DI or you do not have made a relayer with high DI yet)
Hit Mana Leech (for the nice armour pierce move and double shot)
Hit Life Leech (bleh for me.... )
Dex Bonus (goes nicely with SSI)
STR and/or HP Bonus
Hit Lower Attack
Hit Lower Defence
Hit Lighting
Hit Fireball
Swing Speed Increase
Spellchanelling (can be added with ED's if bow doesn't have it)
Self Repair 5 (can be added with ED's)

This is what I have seen in most bows... if you don't want to waste your 100K tokens on a level deed do not level either of your suggested bows. I am using a self crafted one that fits with my gear and serves my purpose... if you can craft a better bow with better mods that will be cool if not there are a lot of amazing players that sells them.

Of course looted weps with higher % (38/46/58) rocks but it takes time and luck to find the right one... good luck!

For the others please correct me if I am wrong or add to the list of what you think makes a good yumi bow.

I would pass on leveling those, not because they are crafted but because their props don't fit archery. Whether or not you choose to level a crafted weapon depends on your chars state of completion and the level of perfection of the weapon (imo). If you are just starting to get your gear/scrolls/gold sorted and don't have a good bow, I would go ahead and level a decent crafted bow instead of living with some crap bow for ever while you go on the quest for a truly fantastic weapon. If you are stable and working on relayers, then I would hold out for a fantastic crafted or search for a very good looted weapon to change type in to a bow.

First of all what do I mean by a decent crafted? 4x40+ with every prop being something you absolutely want and NOTHING you don't want on your bow.

Secondly, what do you want on your bow? Some of it is pretty much cookie cutter, some of it is personal preference.

Cookie Cutter stats any single target, high mana cost special weapon "must" have (imo):
8 Dex
8 Str
40+ Hit Spell
40+ Mana Leech
Di (If not capped through other gear, if capped absolutely should NOT have this)

Obviously your weapon cannot start with Dex and Str so Hit Spell, ML and DI will be what you look for in your starter.

Personal Preference:
HLD (I have mixed feelings on this, if you are not HCI capped and won't be for some time, this is a definate for me)
HLA (I personally don't need this on a single target weapon, don't care if I'm taking damage from a single mob, I like it for WW weapons)
Life Leech (Absolutely fantastic prop, must have for me HOWEVER, not on a bow. Bows are ranged for a reason)
Stam Leech (Don't care, I have Divine Fury for a reason)
SSI (if you are far below 220ish stam, go for it, if you have 215 dex base then skip imo)

What to add through leveling:
8 Dex (must)
8 Str (must)
2nd Hit spell (must)
Any of the above properties that you have decided you want, your weapon doesn't have and you can afford!

What NOT to add:
REGENS
LMC
LUCK
HCI/DCI
Pretty much ANYTHING that does not require the item it is on to hit something for it to function (besides str/dex)!!! This is what your other gear slots are for!!

Also do not use your leveling points to add things that you can add through ED Deeds! (SR, Spell Channeling) These are a waste of leveling points, if you want your uber new bow to be Spell Channeling then take that uber new bow out, slay some stuff with it and buy some EDs with the gold you are now making!

Lastly, like I said deciding to level a crafted weapon depends on your over all state of completion. For some one with only 1 or 2 pieces of GoC, no relayers and plenty to spend their gold on besides buying a great weapon and plenty to spend their time on besides farming for one a crafted weapon is fine. I don't think any one would argue that for a player in that position a 4x50 weapon with Mana Leech, Lightning/FB, HLD, Life Leech would not make a good lvl 100 weapon that will serve you well until you are ready to start the search for the perfect weapon. Would it be a perfect weapon? No. Would it be a great weapon for me or Anarchy? No. Would you be disappointed in it's performance? No.

Good luck with your search.

the reason why i said neither is because he is a new player and it's a crafted item. yes exceptional crafted hit harder, but looted weapon turned into a yumi has more mods/points. because he is new he'll want str 8, dex 8, hps bonus 8 (bare min) = 88 points. for a crafted item that only leaves him with 207 points or 1 more hit at 50% with 7 points left over.

let's just take the mods

if he crateed

1
hld 50
hml 34 (if he wanted to make it to 50 = 48 points leaving him with 159 points)
hsl 46
hit spell (only allowed 39.75 points)

2
luckily this one doesn't need much fixing
fast cast -1 (easily fixed with 3 goc)
hci 14
hll 50
hla 44
hml 50
hit spell 50 (200 points leaving 7 points)

now let's take the same mods and compaire it to a looted weapon

1
hld 50
hml 34 (if he wanted to make it to 50 = 48 points leaving him with 359 points)
hsl 46
hit spell 50 (leaves you 159)
hit spell 39 (insert what ever you like.

ast cast -1 (easily fixed with 3 goc)
hci 14
hll 50
hla 44
hml 50
hit spell 50 (200 points)
hit spell 50 (200 points leaving you 7 points)

the question: does exceptional weapon damage vs looted weapon damage equal or greater than an extra spell hit?
