Fire and Dragons

Post by quazymn »

I know in UO that as you damage a dragon his fire breath does less damage over time. I have always assumed the damage for his fire breath was directly related to his hit points or strength. I never tested to see if a 490 hp dragon did less damage than a 500 hp dragon though. What I am wondering is, if I raise my dragons hp to 1000 (or strength) through ointments and breeding or whatever will his fire breath attack do more damage as well? If so then would that apply to anything that breathes fire such as a nightmare? Thanx everyone!

Fire breath damage is related to hit points. This is why most can take a fire breath from a 300-500 hp dragon, and nobody can take one from a full health ice wyrm. I would assume pets work the same.

Formula for breath damage = CurrentHits * 0.16 (so more hits = more dmg and is same for everything that breaths)
Formula for breath speed is random between 10 to 25 seconds

thanx for the input everyone. I am going to train my dragon up then... slowly. I may post on this again if the changes are dramatic or don't happen at all.
