Thesis: do hives share resources, and can you have 20 hives living off those resources?

i'm wondering if i can make it so that all 20 hives are "feeding" off those 7 plants and 3 waters. after a few more tests with these 2. if only i knew the distance bees can travel. someone said 14. 14 tiles is a long way. think if you had rows of 5's or in a straight line. how much resources the bees are sharing.

Day 1: hives have been going for awhile now, and both are at max 100k bees in 2 hives:

1 cure


i'm gonna empty the hives of wax and honey to record the profits.


Day 2:
spent 3 potions on the hive.

6 wax
21 honey.

disappointed that i had to use up a total of 5 potions, then again it's 3 pots less than norm (not including agility or strength potions).

special note: bees have split time. off sync

day 3:
spent 1 potion

special note: applying 1 strength potion to the hive on the west, which will be cycling by the time i get home from work.

day 4: strength seemed to erm. not help at all, or damaged the hive. had to add 2 poisons to that one hive, and the other hive hasn't recycled yet.

had to use 4 potions

day 7:
i emptied wax and honey the night before. testing to see if that doesn't help out.

had to use 2 potions total.

day 9:
added agility potions (2) to one hive to see if it cause's sickness, and so far i didn't need any potions for this hive.

yeah day 10:
only had to use 1 pot total.

total honey and total wax
101 honey
31 wax.

i'm gonna take down theses hives and start again with 20.

sub experiment.

If i add 1 strength everyday will that null out the need for poison/cures

don't know i had to use 1 pots of ea after using the str pot.

Love those experiments. As you spoke of hives in square form earlier:
Last week i started a new setup: 4 rows of 5 hives in a square. I have placed 1 flower and 1 pitcher on the corners and one flower under every 3rd hive.

Currently at day 9/60k pop and still getting + signs for water/flowers.
Will evaluate when at 100k pop.
