I ve been hunting and i finally got into making my ointments to add stats to my rides. But my question is whats the difference in ointments that raise ride stats and pet power scroll? Does pet power scroll add stats that go above the max level that my ride was originally set trained up too? And ointments are just to add stats back up to the max level?

Ointments raise stats, resists of your pet. HP, Mana, Stam, Dex, Str, Int, etc. Ointments can actually be used to raise your pet's stats past their caps. For example, Breedable/Levalable Pets you can use ability points to HP up to 1000. But you increase HP to 1100 with ointments. They can also be used to re-max pets, but most people will wear out their pet, and then replace it with a new one. The pets lose a lot of points from their stats, if they suffer a stat loss from death, and to re-max is usually the original cost of the pet, if not more.
This will show you the caps on stats through breeding/applying ability points, as will animal lore.
Max Pet Stats
These are the caps on stats when applying oints. In general, you can raise 5-10% more.
Ointments
Pet PS increase the skill caps to which your pet can train to: Anatomy, Eval Int, Wrestling. This is very similar to PS used by players except that the highest scroll for pets to raise their skill cap is 130. These Pet PS do not have any bearing on the pet's stats, just its skills.

pet power scrolls are for skills, and ointments are for stats.
