Finishing Morbus Rex

Taking advice from good players on finishing my pet weapon, Morbus Rex, The Plague Bringer.

A couple of notes. This is my weapon used for taking out multiple mobs as well as giving me high survivability. I have a good bow that is used for taking single mobs (peerless) down. This weapon is more aimed at Umbris and areas like that....

I know I know.... that 8 dex is really ugly... I wish i could take it back =\

Ok there are 107 Spending points left. My inclination was to add some amount of HLD. Sometimes when you have been mortal'd and have lowish stamina you really need that next WW to hit to regain HP and stamina to survive so I was thinking HLD. HLA is the other option I was thinking of but that just seems weak to me... it doesnt make me kill things any faster and i don't think it adds to my survivability...

The final option I was thinking was just going "screw it" and jamming another 25% area effect on there.... 100% area effect is carnage as it is when surrounded... most mobs take like 35+ dmg every 1.25 secs just from being near me...

So Anarchy and others who have been to the high end places and have created many weps... what do you think?

Thanks in advance

i need to know your regens because if your mana regen is over 50, then you don't need the mana leech. WW doesn't take that much and in like a second you'll have full mana. plus, there's curse weapon for mana leech. erm. i'd put on another hit area imo; for the runners :)

I only have a paltry 37 mana regen, i got a fair few spend points left over on a lot of relayers so if i need to i can add some more... but as you can see Morbus Rex already has 30% ML. It is never mana that is my problem at Umbris or elsewhere... it is mainly getting mortal'd when i have low stam and cant move away from the elites... Thats why i was thinking that the HLD might be good as I really need to get that next WW to connect to regen my stam and HP to move away from the elite...

But i do take your point on the other area effect...

However I do have a secondary weapon (a double axe with lots of areas) that I use for fun... I really want this weapon to just be a high percentage easy to use surviving machine... if that makes sense =S

Thanks for the tips though

I was thinking hit lower defence if you got the points left for it.

On a side note, i thought +V did a graph that showed after 30 points in any regain, there was no point in getting anymore because they didn't have any effect. Anyone remember that?

EDIT:

Here is a link to the thread i was talking about, but the pics that +V posted for the graph, are dead :(

Another hit area without a doubt. If the aim is for multi mob AoE then make it good at multi mob AoE, don't make it a half and half weapon only kind of good at both things.

Definitely no more mana leech, WW only costs mby 5 mana or so with decent LMC. You have far more regen then I've got and I never ever have mana problems.

HlA I wouldn't be to concerned about, I'm more of a kill it faster and it will do less damage to me type guy.

Life leech is cool if it was already on the weapon but curse weapon will serve you just fine when whirlwinding.

As far as HLD goes I wouldn't put it on with the intention of using it as a survivability tool via your next WW landing for leeches. If you are stammed and need WW to go off for HEALTH leech via curse weapon that's what counter attack is for, if you need stam I just cast DF and let my CA take care of any leeching or damage while it's casting. I'm in the habit of casting DF as soon as I lose more then 1/3rd stam as though it were automatic.

In my eyes the only other option that makes any sense is another hit area.

Thanks Anarchy N Sticky.... I had been about 50/50 between another hit area (cold, to go with the theme of it brining a plague) and HLD. you guys have persuaded me... I think I will add 25% Hit Cold Area and leave it with 7 points left over... so that it looks nice lol..

Thanks for all your input.
