Vendor question

Post by silas »

Is there a limit you can stick of items on your vendor to sell?
Also when redeed vendor do you get refund any money?
Are there commands on a menu to help a new person to the new vendor system?
How does one rename bags I see people do on vendors to help people see whats in the bag. Like yumi bows
Is there a way to set the price of every item to the same amount in a bag on a vendor so I dont have to set price to hundreds of things?

The Vendor's Backpack is limited to 125 items and/or 450 stones, the limitations to any backpack. You can increase the weight and/or amount of items a vendor can hold via the gump the pops up when you double click your vendor; It will cost a certain amount of gold. This can be repeated, though I'm not sure how many times. This gold is not refunded when you dismiss your vendor. That initial menu you get when you double click your vendor contains any commands that you can use to control/customize your vendor.

To "name" a bag or add comments to an item- when you drag it to the vendor, it outputs a message saying to "Type a price and description for the item." You can set the description a few ways.

If you type: 5000 This is awesome!
This will set the price and it will say "This is awesome!" at the very bottom when you hover over the item.

If you type: This is awesome!
--If the item is able to be set to not-for-sale, it will say Price: Not-for-sale and "This is awesome!" at the bottom.
--If the item is not able to be set to not-for-sale, it will say Price: 999 and "This is awesome!" at the bottom. They will also spout out a message above you telling you what can and cannot set to not-for-sale.

Another way to name a bag is to use an engraver. This allows you to change the name of a container, such as a pouch or backpack. Instead of saying "Pouch" at the very top when you hover over one, it could say "Miscellaneous" or whatever you wanted to name it. Engravers can only be used on containers that are locked down in your house. So you have to plan and engrave bags before you put them on a vendor, as you cannot engrave a bag that is on your vendor with items in it.

Lastly, the only way to set prices repetitively is to use some sort of script; I didn't have much success getting Razor to do this, but it is possible with EasyUO or OpenEasyUO. If you have an item worth about 999gp, then you can just use Razor's organizing agent, an item's price will automatically be set to 999gp, if it hadn't been set manually, when you drag it onto the vendor.
