Hello,
To all that might have suggestions...
Me(Fredo) and a buddy of mine(Refro) are fairly new to this server long time uo players and really are enjoying ourselves... but this is where the newbness to the server sets in..
We have been playing on the server for about a week now ive gathered some advice here and there.. and the main reason i make this thread is soo i can gather more and even help others with this info as it comes.
Well as far as where we got started was informed stealth.. hide.. taming.. weapon skill..lore..spirit speak.. shoot u name it we have gmed just going thru some of the wiki and forum guides say to do..
just started messin around with bees too.
Well this is where the questions come in.. we currently have about 5 mules between the two of us couple donated( thanks for the newb help on that one it really got us going). So champ spawns occasionally, mainly newb but ive come to the conclusion that spawn your only gonna get like 5-10 different ps's and haha u guys are all over the others soo im not able to try those out.
I guess what all this rambling has gotten me too is where do i go from here.. ive seen the gear and im jealous but even where to begin to aquire said gear isnt ANYWHERE as far as info to start farming towards.\
Ive tried felucca bit nasty, and those mules just dont hold a candle to attepmt peerless as just farming the keys the mules get raped..
So.. This is the Overall question
Can we get some incite on where to tread next.. like what goals we should obtain where to go things like that..?
And on a side note maybe some vendors to start saving for.. for gear I know im sitting at about 50ish on all resists and decent stat increases with full lrc.. But again WALL cant find decent medable pieces out there anywhere.
Thanks guys for welcoming us into the server and would love to continue to play here just with this LOOOONG msg i wrote my hands are in the air:-)

First off - trade your ambition for patience like, right now! You said yourself - you've been playing for a week. Note that newbie status is 21 days. That should tell you something. The uber pieces people are wearing have been earned over the months and years (or by $$$ donations), don't expect to have the kind of gold to buy them anywhere soon. Unless you have a few hundred dollar/euros to spend, but then this discussion is moot. Otherwise you need to farm. And then farm some more. And a bit of farming. Did I mention farming?
For the specifics - get yourself 5 mules or nobles each. That should cover most non-boss enemies. Go farm - you can kill balrons, fan dancers, ancient wyrms, whatever. Select the best (most gold) one you can do and stick with it. Get 24 hives each - that will give you (at full production) over a mil per week. Do champs, the other ones. Masters of Arts (newbie, crossroads, forget/cove and marble) drop only crafting PS's and of these only 120 mining is worth something serious. Do Barracoon, Doom, Tokuno (if you don't mind karma hit), perhaps Destard when you have 5 pets and are comfortable at handling them. Ice and Fire if you can catch a ride. Ask around - someone might be willing to show you the locations for each. Attempting to melee most monsters before having 215+ dex is mostly suicide, so find a good bow, level it and do fire support for your pets. With 5 mules/nobles you might attempt Doom Gauntlet, though going there with a friend will be helpful, it's good to earn gold and you can sometimes get some good arties (though the chance is pretty slim). Read the wiki - Devlin's How to Be Awesome guide will point you toward a mid-game goal.
Oh, and one last thing - read this forum. Seriously. This topic has been covered 100s of times, and there's a lot good info in different threads. But since people rarely like to repeat themselves you'll have to collect the bits and pieces from all around.
Vendors - I, after losing all my gear, managed to get a decent all 70' + some nice stats set of leather and jewelry from TC. Can't recall whose shop I raided for the leather (i think Rantamalera's), but the jewelry I bought at Devlin's. You can also check out Spartan's shop - he sometimes has some very nice plat plate pieces with MA. Also - look for yourselves, shop after shop. Not only can you find some nice bargains, but you will also get a feel for prices of different stuff.

It's your choice how to read my post. If you believe it's sarcastic and snide, I can't force you to think otherwise. Though it was not my intention for it to be so, if it's any excuse.

I think Ilsanor gave some sound advice here. I personally didn't see him as being snide, just up front which is what you want or shold want. The best thing I can say is to reiterate that you need to have patience. At only a couple of weeks in and desiring what others took months to acquire is a desirable goal but not really practicle. You have to realize there is a slow progression in wealth accumualtion, especialy here, unless you have a very generous benfactor. You get some gold, buy a house. You get more gold and buy decent pets. You get more gold, perhaps upgrade your armor. Get more gold buy a bigger, better house. Each time you accululate some gold you need to spend it for "necessities." But, eventually, the necessities are no longer a need and the gold you accumulate starts to go the things that will enhance your play. And the gold WILL accumulate. Beleive it or not, that will only take a few months to have happen, depending on how much effort you put it. Just like in real life, you will only get out what you put in. I see you do your homework and that is commendable. Much better than a lot of payers I have seen starting out here. Good luck, perservere and welcome to Excelsior.
Btw, with your current set up, I would suggest going to the Citadel and farming the mages and Assasin bosses there. Good gold and easy pickings for even a mid-level mules.

Another thing you can do which all newbies has gone through is to farm the balrons.... they give nice loot but it's almost camped 24/7 so again " have patience ". Your mules can handle it but if you meet a para balron then I suggest you turn around and run fast... very fast. By the way you sound, it seems that you GM'ed almost all skills (at least combat ones)... and are you aware of the cleric spells? It comes handy when you have to fight the tough mobs cause 'touch of life' is the best healing spell for pets and yourself...
If you are looking to make some gold... bees, pet bods, escorting npc's, mining, and etc... these are things that you should be doing/looking for. At a week old I suggest you hit the rat quest for organics (even though the market for organics has been slow... it will eventually pick up someday), then hit the newbie champ again, again, and again.... look out for this PS's Blacksmith, Mining, Bowcrafting, and Lumberjacking.
Once you legend smithy and mining you then go hunt for plat elementals with a gargoyle pickaxe. It drops the plat runic hammer and tinkering kit. Then you can make plat platemail gear that gives you the 70+ resists. Bowcrafting/Lumberjacking at 120 is the same idea... you can make petrified yumi with the petrified runic fletcher tools.
There are like a million ways to build up your char and if you are still staring at that "wall" i suggest to join a guild since most ppl in guilds are very experience and knowledgeable. Check the wiki --> How to be awesome guide (a good read)... Have fun and good luck!
