Leveling weapon 4 relayers, and weapon RE-ID: A How To Guide

and an issue a guildmate had, I decided to look for some more info on relayering and the like and haven't found a lot, so I decided to start this thread, hopefully to become a wiki

The specific issue my guildmate had was:
He had leveled an Artifact Tagged item for relayer, and spent no points. It was relayed, and we discovered that you must change the weapon ID beforehand to bring the cost to "looted weapon" levels. This mistake can be resolved, but takes some time. I hope that this will stop someone from getting the joy of their relayer delayed for a day or 2

As for the RE-ID of an armor piece, I have no clue as to the process. Same with the actual relayer deed's process for weapons to clothes. I hear there are some windows, or directions, whatever, but haven't gotten around to actually relaying anything. I slack >.>

If someone could make a wicked wiki post for relayering (relaying?) armor pieces, and weapons to clothes, similar to the post for how to get razor working:

I believe it would help with some of the infrequent pages to resolve these issues, thereby leaving the GM's to work on this new content I keep hearing about that's upcoming *Waits anxiously, trembling with anticipation*

I would like to ask some of you veterans that have been through these processes to help guide us that haven't, via this post, until it becomes awesome enough to become a wiki itself I will, in turn, repost the best process in this top post so folks will not have to scroll through everything for the complete answer

How to Relayer

Re-Layering an item step by step:
Buy the re-layer deed for 500 EDs. It is located within the white portal near the Trinsic Bank.
Double click the re-layer deed.
Target the item you are wanting to re-layer; ie. level 100 bow
Target the item you want re-layer your leveled item into; ie. a shirt or kilt. ◊ See Below
Click "ok"
◊ Warning: You are imprinting the stats upon the targeted item, THAT ITEM WILL BE DESTROYED. It is suggest you craft the item that you will be imprinting onto.

I think the point he was making is that it wasn't explicitly stated that a relayer deed will not also remove a arty tag thus cutting your leveled arty points down to looted weapon levels. If this was the case it would save 200 eddys on a weapon type change deed and it would apear his friend attempted to do this but was not successful. it is a good point, I hadn't thought of doing it this way but maybe if it did work id try it, probly not a mace is a pain to level and I like my bone crusher yumis
