Spawn location of fire beetle

Gents, I've been waiting at the very end of Yomotsu Mines near that marble statute of daemon for quite some time but didn't see any spawn of fire beetle. Do they spawn there like on OSI?

Yes they do but I think it's only once per day, at most twice.

I thought they spawned every few days ( 3 but not sure ) but i may be wrong, happens often ^^

Well, I bumped into it 2 days in a row so I'd say it's one of those 24hrs spawn. He spawns a bit SE (half a screen or so) from Imaskraw. Not worth the wait tho - the beetle is useless.

Than you very much for the spawn information, very useful though I'm still waiting for it to spawn. Regarding usefulness, I wanna tame it for my miner since I can melt the ores at once and no need to go back to my castle every five minutes. I saw it once yesterday but I accidentially killed it....very sorry...

The fire beetle is more or less a waste of time since it halves the number of ingots you get. Ie. for each successfully smelted pile you get only 1 ingot, instead of the usual 2 you get on regular forges and mobile one. I'd suggest investing in a MF if you're thinking of any serious mining. Otherwise you essentially waste half of the time and effort spent on mining.

Ilsanor is very right the Mobile Forge is much better than a Fire Beetle. Smelts at forge rates, weighs 0 stones in the pack

Oh, really? I should have visited the forum more often as I've been spending days waiting in the mines for it to spawns (as I accidentially killed three of them ) But with your suggestion, I think I will leave it by now immediately!! Halving the return is not acceptable and I will save $$ (from swoops mainly I think) to look for a MF. Thank you very much guys
