Weapons and spellcasting

When I try to use bushido - counter attack or chivalry - consecrate weapon, my weapon will unequip, and I get the message "You must have a weapon equipped".
Is it because the weapon has to have the spell channeling property?

Just tried it with a spell channeling weapon. It still unequips. What am I doing wrong?

Oh, I just found out what the problem was.
Razor was set to auto-unequip when spellcasting...
