Jewel crafting
Hello, my question is How does this work? When u create a bracelet does it pick random stats to give it or do you decide which you want? If it gives it a random set of attributes is there a way to enhance/imbue it with what you would like?
Re: Jewel crafting
Also would like to ask....is there specific jewels to use to get better dexterity and str additions or is it totally random?
Re: Jewel crafting
The power range of the enchantments is determined by the type of runic kit you use, say*** a platinum always gives a stat increase of 5-8, though the exact number is influenced by your skill. So at lower skill you might get more 5's and 6' and at higher skills - 7's and 8's. As far as I know 8 is the highest possible power for crafted stat increase (9 and 10 come only as random drops from high end monsters - peerless and the like). Other properties have their own maximums, though crafts usually get up to 80% of the max that you could get on a looted piece. The amount of enchantments is determined again by the runic type, but some specific jewelry types have additional properties. For example a Brilliant Amber Bracelet has:
1-4 Random Properties
Plus one of the following:
Lower Reagent Cost 10%
Faster Cast Recovery 1-3
Faster Casting 1
Spell Damage Increase 1-12%
And no, there is no way to directly influence the random properties. Some are more common, some are uncommon - the material/jewel type may have some influence on which properties appear and how often but I'm not knowledgeable enough to say anything definite on the subject. Also - once created, a piece of jewelry is final.
***not exact range, just an example

Re: Jewel crafting
Thanks much for your reply...Atleast now i have a basic understanding of how it works and can play with it to try to figure out those things
