Iam new too so i try to help you a bit.
Iam no normal player so my way maybe is not your way.
The 1st thing i done here was training, training, training.
I think my 1st two weeks i was online nearly 24/7 and train my skill afk and not afk.
Not everyone likes this and goes out into the world and die multiple times every hour.
I dont like it do die so i trained my skills 1st.
1st thing you should get to work, i think, is a macro programm like EasyUO, Razor, AssistUO or anyone else.
We have guides in the wiki how to install them because many of us have/had trouble to get it to work.
2nd thing is that you have no read what kind of skills are allowed to train afk and not afk.
Any skill that gather resources (including fishing) or making money (afk hunting monsters) or leveling weapons are not allowed to train afk. But you can train all your melee and magic skills afk.

and all skills that raise up automaticaly when you train one of these skills like anatomy, tactics, meditaion and all the other.
Why ? I try to tell you.
Animal Lore / Taming to controll mule and later noble steeds. You need 80+ to control a mule. How to train this skill you can read in the wiki. I startet an charakter with 50 taming so it was easier for me with an braclet of animal taming +12,0 i reach 62,0 and with 60+ you can train animal taming with crafting pet dyes up to 100 in a few hours. Animal Lore is easier to train. If you train your meleeskills afk with autohit the personal trainer you can train skills like animal lore, spirit speak, musicanship at the same time with a macro programm.
Veterenary to heal your pet without wasting mana but often you have to heal it with magery too.
Spirit Speak heals you and you need it later for necromancy.
Magery to mark runes and recall or chivalry to recall. Magery need reagents to work and Chivalry need tithe points. tithe point = 1:1 like gold. 1 thithe point is 1 gold.
Hiding / Stealth to get out of combat (sometimes it saves your life and you need it for stealth) or if you die you can get your corpse back with stealthing to your corpse.
archery. let the mule take the damage. you deal damage and heal your pets with magery or [cs touchoflife if the fight is over you heal the rest with veterenary.
you also should read the commands on this server like [cs
some of your spells are custom or you cant find them in razor or in the ingame-macro-maker.
[cs = [castspell and after the [cs you type the name of the spell without spaces between the words.
for example the spell " touch of life " you write [cs touchoflife or better you make a ingame makro with this.
its the best heal in the game. if you write "i pray to the gods" into the chat and press enter you see our custom spells you can use them with tithe points = gold.
I think that is the minimum you should train before you go out and seek adventures and come back as a ghost
Also read the wiki. The most answers you get in the newbie-part of the wiki. sometimes i think that 75% of all new players never read the wiki or the shardrules and if they die or get jailed they get rude (no not everyone only one or two) and try to tell us how stupid this game & the staff is
or why we have these rules because they all knows another server that is much more better than excelsior bla bla bla
*laugh* and this much more better server dont have these rules.
okay once more, how to train the skills ?
1st but someone told you before that you need a 100% LRC suit. it must be leather or mage armor. your meditation (regenerate mana faster) dont work with chain- and platearmor if this isnt a mage armor. You have to ask in worldchat with [c or check our vendor website you can find at "vendors.uoex.net". search for every armor slots for example "leather cap" and take a look at the stats. if you see "XX% L ower R eagent Cost (LRC) you know where the vendor is located and what does it cost but sometime you find 100%LRC suit-bags for ~20-30k gold. ignore the other stats on it. It is only to train your mageryskills.
OK how to train Animal Lore / Taming / Veterenary ?
You can train Animal Lore afk if you train your meleeskills on the trainer. Just put an animal near you and use Animal Lore all few seconds with the macro programm over night
Animal Taming. Take a look into the Wiki what animal you have to tame to gain skillpoints. If you have 60.0 Animal Lore (with or without jewlery with +Animal Taming) you can start crafting pets dyes up to 100. You need some gold for the bottles and the dye.
Veterenary is the easiest way to cut yourself 2-3k bandages. go to Heaven, tame a echee, leftclick with your mouse on the Echee, hit NPC Info, you find a RED button, click it and set all free ability points into the Echee´s HP, go to Delucia, find a bull and let the echee attack the bull. heal the echee with your bandages up to 100 veterenary.
Spirit Speak you can train like Animal Lore.
Magery and Resisting Spells. You need the 100% LRC now.
You start with 30 / 30 and cast Mana Drain on yourself up to ~63 Magery and 60 Resist, now you use Invisibility on yourself up to 75 Magery and than Mana Vampire on yourself up to 100 Magery and 100 Resist. Magery is faster than Resist.

Hiding / Stealth. Seek an lonely place without NPCs and players like Nujelm or Magincia. Train Hiding up to 100 1st. Then train Stealth.
I think you can do that all in one week because you can train all skills afk if you are sleep or work
you only need to make some gold with the rat-quest and buy a 100% LRC suit and to train Animal Taming.
