What are they and how do they work? As I understand, the toolhouse holds a lot of charges for every tool out there (so I guess the runic toolhouse works for runic tools, as in tools that create stronger items?), but does it come precharged? Or do I need to charge it with tools I buy, get as reward or make myself? And what's the difference between the (runic) toolhouse you get as a donation reward and the one you can craft?

They're resource keys for tools.

Think about the spell caster keys that you put tools and runic tools in.

They're empty, you combine them yourself.
