Hello everyone,

Right now, I feel kinda stucked in the game. I have a small house, all the useful skills up to 100, I have my stats fixed and some noobish gear that works just fine for, let's say Solem. I am not quite sure about what to do. I'm not making a LOT of cash in Solem, I am not getting decent gear and I'm too young to go to Mistvale (11 days old). Soooo...what shall I do? I am aiming to raise some more cash and buy the gear instead of waiting to get lucky. I'd also like to know if there's any chance to start getting at least some 105 PSs without buying them or investing money in BODs; the right question would be ¿Can I go somewhere to start getting PS's without dying?

Any kind of information will be much appreciated

So many new people skip the rat quest. Take advantage of it! I bet most didn't even read the newbies guide on the wiki.

Do escort quests. Both are easy money.

If you don't want to buy powerscrolls, doing champion spawns is the way to go. You will probably die. You're 11 days old. Expect to die fairly frequently. Just remember to insure your items, and keep them in the top level of your backpack. (This means not inside a bag inside your backpack.

rat quest isn't nearly as profitable as it once was Id say get a boat and do the crystal freighting quest in felucca minoc

A few other tips would be to make sure you check the newb chests in town center for some free gear and weaps. Only takes a few seconds and I personally drop some decent stuff in there for someone as young as you. You can vote on the reward stone daily and get an ED. Takes literally 1 minute. EDs can sell for 50k gold, pm me, Randy Marsh, and Ill buy them. Do the newb champ whenever its up to get a chance at a PS. Instead of trying to fight mobs that have a chance to drop decent loot, I would do what you can to make gold. Loot and sell all you can, like gems. Once you can, buy some mules, get 5. They will become your best form of damage, and you will be able to get some pretty serious gold with them. Instead of buying great gear early on, try finding some arties or gear with LRC, LMC, FC and FCR so you can heal your pets and keep them alive. Try finding a crafted yumi with mana leech and maybe a hit spell, you can get one pretty cheap. I may even have one at level 21 that I don't need and will sell cheap.

As for where to hunt, thats hard to say. I played this game back in the late 90s, so when I was young, I fought in the dungeons and other nostalgic areas that were appropriate for my skill and gear level. You will surpass them quite fast.

People do occasionally dump 105's and 110's in the newbie chests, so check every so often.

I'm pretty sure after I did this I raised my taming (quickest way is through crafting) and got some cheap mules and headed for places like fan dancer dojo, the succubus's inside are a bit dangerous, but the stuff outside and around the dojo is fine and the fan dancers drop 700-900 gold each, so a pretty decent amount.

I know I got a 105 taming from doing taming bods.

Thanks for all the advice given!! i'm still doing the rats quest from time to time. Regarding the EDs for voting; it is not working for me. I do vote (did 3 or 4 times already), then go to the stone in TC it says your IP is this one, but then it says "there is no reward for you" or something like that. And...how do I know when the newb champ is up??

I got a pet from the new players chests: a chicken...but ohh...he can take the dojo dancers like a piece of cake. Thank you donors lol.

I just maxed the breeding line of chickens last week. As they run out of breeds or fall too far behind in power I've been dropping them off in the donation bins.

Citadel is decent too. Stop short of the Travesty... around the executioner. He'll fall reasonably well to the chicken and gives a couple thousand gold, tons of reagents and some halfway decent weapons and armor, typical of the higher end of what gets donated. You can also get elixers from the nearby chest.

If you're patient with the grand mage up on level 1, folks will pay 10k-15k gold for the key he occasionally drops. It's one of three needed to get to the Travesty.

Mark a rune and take pet leash with you. You can't Gate out of Citadel, so you'll have to shrink your chicken before you recall.

BTW, don't forget to feed him or he'll go wild on you. He eats bread from the baker.
