Hello everyone, so far i started the Mistvale's series of quests and they are great: i can equip myself with very nice gears, the quests are enjoiable and all seemed fine, till i started the merchantile quest...
1st part is to collect 4,000 each of Ash, Zircote, Yew, Ebony, and Oak boards. Ok fine. Fil in the bod and as a reward i get the 2nd part of the quest wich is to collect 4,000 each of Regular, Spined, Horned, Barbed and Daemonic leathers... Ok i killed some dragons, some drakes...and daemons BUT daemons have only 1 leather each. So i need to kill 4k daemons to fill the bod and i have 2 weeks for doing it. Problem is i think is really really hard to do considering that i have gathered like 500 daemons leather in 3 days and 200 of them or more i have bought through exex. Now they'll cost me like 500 gold each, lol. So considering the time spent by gathering all those resources (boards + leathers) or the gold spent in buying them i think it's not worth doing it, and it's a pity considering the fact that those quests should help new players. This is my opinion, what are your thoughts? Anyone else is doing/have done this quest?

1st of all thank you for reading my post .
I have not mentioned it, but i did use the quest but the problem remains. With 20 vials + 1000 leather i can have 100 daemonic leather. It takes me like 1 or 2 hours to collect the vials, it depends because drops are random and there's always a lot of ppl here in mistvale doing the quests (which is great). So in 2 hours i can save lets say 20k? (20k is the differense between buying 1000 normal leather and buying 100 deamonic). Or lez say in 2 hours i make 100 daemonic leathers, so it will take me like 40 hours to gather 4k leathers. If i do other things like doom, peerless etc i can save much more then that and in 3 or 4 days i can buy directly the item blessed deed. my point is: should not it be more new players friendly? i put it on cost/opportunity: in 2 hours i can make 100 daemonic leathers but it the same 2 hours i can do gauntlet/peerless etc and i can make like 200k gold, so why should i spend my time doing that quest? it's not efficient. Sorry for my broken english and consider that all that i say it's in my opinion, i certainly could be wrong .

Most players don't require that much time to complete the quest. Farming the leather is very quick, particularly if you go to the farm island in fel jhelom. The vials can also go quickly, lich lords and balrons have a high chance of dropping 2 at a time, liches and daemons drop one vial almost every kill. The quest wasn't meant to be easy, or to even be cost-effective vs. purchasing the deed directly. It was made so that folks who would prefer to farm the resources, or who already had farmed them for other reasons and had them sitting around, would be able to have an alternate option for obtaining the deeds.

Ok today i was leveling a weapon in mistvale and made a test and i can say or i am very unlucky or drop rates have been changed because drop rates are far from what they should be as you said in your answer to my post.
These results are from 3 days of "farming" Mistvale; I'll post my results here:
Leeches: 0 drop of vial
Leech lords: i'd say every 10 kill i can get 2 max 3 vials.
Daemons: i'd say 40-50% drop rate
Balrons: i'd say 70-80%

Considering the fact that almost everyone just run through dungeons, does not respect turn etc etc in 3 hours i could collect like 12 vials.
I am not complaining or anything i just want to post my results, if it's working as intended ok i'm fine with it, i'd just stop doing this and i'll start doing something else.
