1 mule > 1 noble.
5 nobles > 5 mules.
Mules: Mount, has a backpack, are poison resistant, and have firebreath/magery.
Nobles: Mount, pack instinct, are insanely fast, and have firebreath/magery.
Pack Instinct: certain types of animals do more damage together. When 2 targets are on the SAME monster, there is a 25% dmg bonus; 3 = 50%; 4 = 75%; 5 = 100%.
Start off with 1 mule, farm with it until you can buy another... Then do it again. After 3 mules, consider getting a 110 taming powerscroll and 4 nobles. Maxed nobles are generally cheaper than mules, and fare much better in packs. The ideal set up is 1 mule, 4 nobles. This lets you ride the mule, use the backpack feature, and have 4 nobles to run around shredding everything.
