i have been doing grizzle a bit lately trying to get the steed, but my question is this, i have beeen trying mortal strike on him to see if it helps against his life leach, but to me it seems to be making no difference, so does mortal strike prevent hp gains of any kind or just specific abilities? Note that he does not cast heal when affected!

As far as i know, Mortal Strike only prevents the target from using bandages to heal, but it's still able to heal through life leech an/or magic spells.

It's just like when u get mortal-striked: u cant use bandies, but can heal through spells.
