Vet Rewards on Old Recovered Accounts

I recently returned to Excelsior after a 6+ Month hiatus. I was able to use my old account but I had to create a new character. My paperdoll informs me my account is 275+ days old or something but I never see veteran rewards. Will I need to wait 30 days with this new character to see the veteran rewards?
