T-Map Strategy

Post by AcidBern »

I am wondering if anyone has a strategy to help me organize and knock out my treasure maps. I have the script that identifies the maps and gives me the THB number for the rune. Thats all great when in Trammel. My problem is that I have a TON of fel maps and I want to start doing them. I can run the same script on my fel maps and get the number, but it is of no use since there is no recall/sj in fel. Does anyone have a system or method they use for doing a bunch of fel maps that they could share?

I made two containers with 11 boxes in each of them, one with additional containers labeled A-K, and the other with containers L to V. I just put the t-map in the corresponding lettered box after I identified it, and once I had 5-10 in each container I would go dig them up (and they're all next to each other).

You lost me on the lettered boxes. I know there are a number of zones on the THB site. But what are the letters for?

Each section from the uostratics t-map site is listed as a letter (if you hover over it on the world map, or it's in the link after you've clicked it). I just marked the containers as the letter that corresponded to that section.

I'm not around at the moment but I do the following.

I identify the Fel maps and when I have 4 or 5 in the same or close by locations I head out. You can use a sextant to get your current location or you can use one of the programs like UOAM or some UOSteam or EasyUO scripts can grab them as well.

This way instead of running all over Fel I can head to the same general area and dig away till I've got them all done.

But it does mean the fel ones stack up sometimes so you do nee a sorting system which is where the letter locations come in I suspect. I tend to use number pouches.

Here's what i do for mine.

I do use RKTmap to sort my maps by numbers (i guess you're using the same).

I made bags named as this : 1-4, 5-8, etc... till 200

All trammel maps are in the far corners of north south east west of the bag. As for the Felucca ones they are in the same bag but in the middle at the same position. Here is a template of what it look like.

I usually do felucca maps when i have level 6 ones to do over there. I simply take all the numbers close to the level 6 i have and go for it.

IE. If you have a level 6 in Felucca that is on Vailor Island. Go on stratic to see all numbers related to that spot and take all level 5 you got close to it. You can after either use UOMap included in UOSteam (i do that) or Razor have the same type of map OR UOAM that i never used. The sexton work great... but it's a hassle to dbl click it pall the time to see the coordinates.

Anyway, if you need a hand in game or more information if thats not clear enough you can PM me in game (Blathzar) and i'll run trough my own process i found that work pretty well :)

Since i'm at work right now (on break tough... ahem) I should be home in about 8 hours.

Here's what i ended up doing.. I have 22 bags, as there are 22 zones from THB. I went through the map and made a chart of which map numbers are in each zone. Then took each map and scanned the number, placing the map in the corresponding bag for that zone. Now when I get 6 or 7 or more in one particular zone, I will run there and have a bunch of maps real close by to do. Thanks for the tips though everyone, you really helped me get the ball rolling.
