First, This was the first game that I've played that I've been Contacted by "game personnel" With in the first 5 minutes after creating a new character. I was honestly Amazed by that. Next I've in 2 days, maybe 3-6 hours actually played, Meet so many people that have willingly bent over backwards to go out of their way to help me. Now on to a question, Home ownership. when should 1 start looking to get a place to call their own? Currently I'm Renting an apartment (mostly cause I Have a slightly RP perspective :p) and using it as a base of operations, and Storage facility. Also how much in assets does one need before making the investment in home ownership?
Just wanted to put down all my thoughts in 1 place. Sorry if its disorganized and jumbled, I have trouble Getting thoughts to flow out of the ole brain.

As for looking for your own home, I'd say whenever you're ready since you're 'starting at in your apartment and working up to more', get a nice gold stash because the cost will be a bit. The smallest customizable house (7x7) costs 30,000 gold and that's without putting any money into customizing it. Although you could get a small wooden house for 36k, which at least already has walls... but it's up to you. Buy a house placement tool from a real estate NPC in town and use that to see the different prices.

To give you some perspective, I spent about 500k on my first house which was I believe 13x18 custom. My second is valued at around 800k, and that's a full 18x18. But then again, I didn't build them all at once either. I designed the final design, and then backed it up, and then deleted stuff until it fit my budget. The backup remained, and then when I had more money I would add on more of the final design. In this way, my house actually appeared to be under construction for the first few weeks, slowly getting taller and more detailed 
So to answer your question....I really don't think there is a specific time to own or not own a house. You could buy one now and just slowly build it up

After a little more Research, I've found out that Female adventures can tame unicorns. I know that my character currently does not have the skill to do so BUT I have to set goals to I end up running around doing nothing. So *sets a goal* Must Tame a unicorn as a mount.. and Friend. The key problem with this goal, is I have no idea where to find them. So if someone could reply here and just tell me a general area I'd be most gracious.. unless its a trade secret and you currently have a monopoly on unicorn taming :p
