Re: anyone know how to fix
Few things:
- To start with, IE is probably the worst web browser available anymore. There are a number of concerns I could list to discourage you from using IE, but the biggest is it's security, or a lack thereof. I suggest grabbing Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
Mozilla: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/
G-Chrome: http://www.google.com/chrome
I'd be more than happy to help you with any questions/concerns with Mozilla.
- Next thing: How much RAM is in your system? A lot of the standard computers like WalMart's E-Machine come with a gig or less of RAM, and despite UO being 10+ years old, it can still be a memory hog, especially with Razor. Then to open IE (another memory hog) on top of that, you're not allowing much for basic system file transfers. In other words, you're lagging out your OS.
- CPU Size. Any clue on what you have? You don't need a quad-core processor to run UO and IE, but if it's a 1 Ghz single core processor, that could be the root of your issue.
If you need any help finding this information, let me know. I'm not sure what sort of system you have, (i.e. custom built or factory stock), but I'd like to eliminate any cause for concern on hardware, before we focus on software issues.

Re: anyone know how to fix
I think i've heard of this problem before, though i don't know how to fix it. Could be that a certain windows patch is causing it. Perhaps just getting another browser is the best idea, plus firefox and those other ones are much safer than IE.

Re: anyone know how to fix
It is quite possible that this is a problem with your Version of Windows. I run on Win 7 and notice if i "tab out" that is does this non response thing... but if you bring up razor and quickly start and stop a macro (any macro is fine) it will come out of this non-response.
Re: anyone know how to fix
I can definitely vouch for the razor start/stop thing. I've done that probably hundreds of times to bring UO out of (not responding), which leads me to believe that Razor is the real root of the problem. Your IE thing though could be completely unrelated, though. And yes, IE sucks. I just wish it wasn't so integrated. Try deleting it...just try. Not gonna happen.

Re: anyone know how to fix
Not 100% sure if it is razor that is freezing your client up, but if it is, this is how i fixed mine.
I had it freeze up like every once in few mins or so. I am using windows 7 32bit.
Basically what I have done was to use compatibility mode for razor.exe. just right click on razor.exe, and enable compatibility mode (I used win XP SP3), and voila. freeze ups are no more..
Now having said all these, I am not sure if it is your browser doing funny thing or razor..
