The same error occured as with the character wipe we had in the end of july. Unfortunately the last "usable" backup was from the 5th August, so everything is back as it was then.
I know this is a mayor loss for everyone that have played in the last week, this includes us staff who have made an above average amount of things in this period of time (restoring some of the people from the last wipe).
Unfortunately, at least for now, we wont be replacing items or skills. I hope you can understand that we're already tired from the last restoring, and we also cannot see what you really had and didnt have. But we will make it up to you with a few things in a few days.
The current goal for me is to make this shard stable again. So at least it wont happen again. Ever since we left the old Centes server items are disapearing and shard is crashing. I believe it could be the x64 system, but i'm yet to find out.

If it feels you any better i can tell you, that when the old server broke down i spent quite alot of money on this new server, and worked about 2 weeks to get it all set up, finding out that it doesnt do things right. So yes i'm a bit frustrated but trying to solve the situation at hand from a realistic point of view.

little update... centes reformatted, now with 32 bit windows on it, today i will start RunUO on it and wait for a week if it still works then. so hopefully we'll be stable by next weekend.

A little reward for sticking with us, to put that frown upside down
Every player will recieve one +50 skillball and 20 excelsior dollars. Just page in game, or well ask if there's a GM available, and you will recieve your reward. You can get only one reward per player/account. The skillball is binded to you. Excelsior dollars are like any other currency, you can buy or sell them or keep them in your treasure chest.
To get a skillball, an admin must set it - so we might improvize a little, a staffmember can also manually set your skill by +50 (to the cap) to whichever skill you want.
These rewards are given to all players till wednesday, August 16th, 23:59 shard time. After that time, if you still havent recieved your reward, you still have time till Sunday, August 20th, 23:59 shard time. You need to contact an admin (or get a staffmember to contact one), and we'll check if your account was created prior August 5th.

I claim that the server is now stable.
it's been thru so many tests it would be a wonder if the same error happens again.
Ofcourse, there are also errors with new stuff we add to the game, or bugs with already old systems, which are yet to be discovered and can potentially crash the shard. but basically, it's the way it used to be, say in june when it was working like a swiss watch
