Need vendor help.
I want to open a furniture/tinker/granite furniture vendor. Before i do it i wanted to know if those crafting skills make good gold on this shard?

Just my opinion, but I do not think you'll make a ridiculous amount of gold off those skills however you can make a fair amount if you build up your reputation as a sole seller of those goods. Every now and then I see players looking for stone tables, but it may be more efficient if you craft goods on a per request basis (when players want to decorate / re-decorate their house you can make a killing). If you get high tinkering then you can create some of the higher-end custom items (crafting keys, tool house, etc.) which you can charge a fair amount of gold for. Caution though that even at 120 skill you have a significant chance of failure on crafting these items. Also you would need to get resource gathering skills (mining and lumberjacking) as well as some supplemental skills (tailoring, blacksmithing, etc.) to craft certain items. Anyways, good luck with your vendor!

What would you suggest as a idle gold making crafting skill to work on?

Re: Need vendor help.
Although not quite a craft skill I would suggest beekeeping. If you're able to log on religiously every day then this is one of the most profitable and safe things to do. Takes a bit of gold to start up (need a house, beehive deeds, and a few other less expensive things), but its fairly reliable and the only skill you need is alchemy if you want to create potions yourself to feed your bees. Takes a few days to get rolling but after the first 2 weeks they should pay for themselves and net you a few hundred thousand to one million gold each week from then on.
If you're interested in beekeeping, there's a nice guide on the forums:

Good luck!

If you wanted do make a vendor on alchemy then try full kegs for people doing bees but a lot of people prob wouldn't bother as they more than likely have the skill to maintain there own.Berzerker187 wrote:What about a alchemy vendor? Since i wont have time to everyday to check on bees.
But to say that I know I would be interested in buying full kegs every now and then as sometimes I don't have enough time to fill my kegs etc, but other than people like me I shouldn't think that would be worth your time if your not got a lot of hours in the game a week.
The same problem for any of the crafting skills really because you can gm every skill, a part from the new people, you won't really have a Market.
Having said that he more higher end stuff like sand and stone are harder to come by on here because they take more time to gather might be the path you choose.
Sorry if my writing doesn't make sense or spelling is poor hate touch screen haha.
Good luck!

Yeah granite, and also sand for glass making, like Lust had said before there isn't too many people out there that gather the granite to sell on or to make things with to sell on.
Maybe that could be a loophole for you to jump into, depends on how many hours a week you have to play as to how much time you would get to gather your resources, to know wheither it is paying to the amount of work to put it.
The other thing you could do is to make gem jewlery, Don't know an awfullot about it because never done it before, But from what I see there is a market for it.

Yea lately I've been seeing people asking for certain skill+ jewelry. That's under tinker crafting and I've been working on. I'll try that out thanks.
