The buff frame, broken

Post by Vincent »

Hello hello.

Just started playing here a few days ago, and I just noticed that the buff frame seems to be broken..

The only mention of this on the forum was this thread, with no replies and in the wrong section:
http://www.uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php ... uff#p15160

Only tried with some chivalry and some magery spells and none of them showed up in the buff frame.

Well, now you know, hopefully there's an easy fix for this :)

I'm not sure how this is on other shards, but we're RunUO 1.0 and I think that the base hunk of code we have, doesn't include support for the buff windows. I doubt this will be added, since there's so many more features that need to be done that are more vital.

Aw. Oh well.

The newest version of RunUO is 2.0, right? Just curious, why are we still on 1.0 and how much of a hassle would it be to upgrade?
Just wondering!

Thank you.

Yes there's Runuo 2.0, and i dont think we'll be upgrading. Would be easier to upgrade just the core, than to make a fresh runuo 2 and port over the scripts. 4 years of development and bugfixes... 10MB of pure source code that's the default Runuo, and 13MB source code that's custom, so there's more custom code than the default one :)
