Eternals will be hosting it's first fishing event. rules are as follows.
It will start on oct. 30th at 00:01 shard time, and will end on 00:01 the 31st. The only fish that will be accepted are the big fish with the time and name stamp on it. (so don't bring me 23243516 fish). The largest fish wins; easy enough huh? lol. if there is a tie for any of the places the reward will be split among the winners in that tier. I will be accepting the fish on oct 31st up to 2400 shard time. after that time has passed i will not be accepting anymore entries. I will also only accept 1 entry per person; so keep the big fish until you think you have the biggest one. Due to cost of the prizes i will not be offering any door prizes.
First prize: 400 eds 4 unitubs
Second Prize: 100 eds 1 unitub
Third prize: 50 eds.
Good luck fisherman!! (maybe you'll get lucky and get a ancient sos too )
nuts. i've been told that 24 hours will probably have too many winners at 200 stones ea. so i need suggestions as to how long i should hold the event for. Please need some help 12 hours/6 hours?
My input would be this... Do a sign up list and see about how many players are going to come. If alot do 6 hrs if not 12... But then again if there is over 15 that come and start right when the event starts you are going to have a TON of big fish and may have alot of ties.
You can still do 24, this allows for multiple time zones to be available for the end but I would change one part of the rules.
Allow for multiple fish entries but they must all be of the same weight. This way a player with 200 stone fish would win over a player with a single 200 stone fish. A single 200 stone fish would of course win over a player with five 199 stone fish. This should limit the number of multiple winners and allow for more people to enter based on time zones. (In my opinion of course)

One problem with this... It would still be a single time zone... Whoevers time zone that starts will have a chance to fish a entire 24 hrs or much longer then the guy who can start 3 hrs before it's over.... If you did 6-12 it would in my mind be more fair.
If one guy from time zone A is going to fish for 24 hours (First of all needs some serious help and medication but that is beyond this post) then couldn't everyone do that? Anyways, not my contest just offering a suggestion
You would be stunned the things people would do for 400 Ed... Lol and all depends would you be more interested on starting noon your time or 3 in the morning? Just my thought lol.

You kinda have to do 24 hours some people have jobs and cant be on every waking hour of the day.Not having a 24 hour period would cut out alot of people that would want to join in.also, I would say have it be multi fish that way the one with the highest total wins less chance for a tie.

It is better to lead from behind and to put others in front, especially when you celebrate victory when nice things occur. You take the front line when there is danger. Then people will appreciate your leadership.

well the range for weight should be 1-225.
looking at the script it would be pretty easy to change the weight distribution % but probably not one of the highest priorities

that's what i thought. i wanted everyone no matter the time zone/school/job. it doesn't matter to me what time as all i have to do is be on to collect the fish and hand out the prize (i get the easy job).

that is an awesome idea.
well 400 eds is a lot and i was hoping that people who do not have a lot of $ in real life and game, would have a chance to get the cool stuff like small bags of holding. maybe i'll throw in a booby prize like a bio. lol smallest fish or something. lol.
I fished roughly 2 hours every other day for about a month and a half trying to get a Capt. Jack's Cutlass. In that time, I yielded one 200 stone fish and two 199 stone fish. Perhaps I was just extremely unlucky, but I do not think there will be an over abundance of players getting 200 stone fish. Even if there are multiple winners, 400 EDs spread about lets say 4 players is plenty in my opinion.
If overabundance is a concern you can place a time limit (say 6 hours) and ask that everyone planning to participate must register beforehand and state in shard time the hours they will be fishing uninterrupted on Oct 30th (no 1 hour here, and 2 hours there, etc). Will be a little extra work to check each participant's time stamp falls within their time frame that they stated beforehand. Hope that helps.
