IRC? What is it and how to solve?

Haven't quite figured this one out yet...

When I type in "I must consider my sins" within the game, I get the message, "You must first turn on IRC." Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before or knows how to solve it.

Hey bud, you have piqued my curiosity seeing as I have never heard of such an error in that context as of yet. I just blasted Google and the Razor/RunUO forums with little result. I would love to help you out, but might need a little more info in just a few questions.
1. Are you running razor?
2. What OS are you using?
3. What exactly happens when you get the message (like do you type it in and it pops up in a system error message or is it coming from UO?). Or even better yet, can you post a screenshot of it occurring?
4. Did you download the UOEx client, or did you do a combo? (like updating an existing client and adding the necessary files)

Anyway, would love to lend a hand just let me know that stuff.

Thank you for the quick response!

1. Yes running razor.
2. Vista 64
3. When I type it into UO, the message appears as well as the chatoptions menu.
4. Downloaded the client bundle via uoex.net

Hehe, I see the problem, glad you included that second picture ^_-. Take the bracket off of the sentence. It is not a command line, just a spoken line so instead of:

[i must consider my sins
type
I must consider my sins

I was able to replicate the problem by typing in the first way. Hope that fixes you up bud ^_^.

Ahhhh. Haha. Gotta love it when it's the simple solution. In the future I will take more care to read the details of the commands wiki. Sigh. Thanks again for the prompt help Oromis!
