Selfishness at Novice Champ Spawn

There's no reason to not let someone in on a champ spawn especially in the early hours of the morning, you don't get more power scrolls by 1-2 manning it.

Deathray is notorious for it.... he's at like every single one.

The personal disgust i feel towards guys like Deathray and Carlos is enough to make anyone sick. Guys like this don't help a server at all. I could understand if they were in a group doing a normal champ but this is the novice champ.

As annoying as anyone may be best not to call them out. I understand your frustration but you'll only get yourself in trouble for flaming others. My advice is to beat them to it next time and then maybe they can empathize with the grief they cause you. You seem to be a cool dude Nakkasu so just shrug it off and do this. lol!

Also the NPC at the champ spawn (newbie one) said if the spawn has 8 red skulls already, only then are you required to ask to join.

I'm not flaming them, just stating the utter disgust i feel in my stomach toward griefers who grief other gamers by being less than kind. To be fair if you're looking to keep a steady flow of traffic then you should always seek improvement in areas where there's room.

Had this been a actual champ i wouldn't of been bothered at all but this isn't promoting community in any fashion. It's promoting selfish gamers and rooting it into their upbringing as a UO gamer.

What i'm hoping is that the host or administrator if you will, will take a look into what improvisions could be made to promote community instead of this ill feeling new gamers to Excelsior like myself feel in their stomachs. I would love to do champions with other gamers on a fresh run outside of the novice champion but if people are camping it and obviously i cant scan the spawn 24/7 then that isn't very fair or nice.

Now some gamers might say that things aren't fair, however that's in the real world. Alot of gamers come to a community to seek a fantasy world to have fun in their excess time.

This is just one area that could be improved since it is a novice champ, allow others to get in and do something. If there are too many gamers at the champ than the champ can support power scrolls then that will just promote gamers to do more damage and get better at macro's and so on which is healthier than hording , camping, and turning your shoulder to what could be a very nice person you lost the opportunity to meet.

Wall of Text, Hopefully this information is helpful and not derogatory. I dont see any of it as flaming as much as already mentioned something to help the community.

i know your mad. i know you hate that, and i know i hate this. but... that's the rules. it was set up because some peeps would pop in at the last candle and then kill the champ. that wasn't fair either, or worse yet they would hide in the champ are wait till the champ showed up and killed the champ.

i'm sorry this happened. but the novice champ spawns every 4 hours. this is why i stay away from champs.ah well. it happens brush ya shoulders off.

I'm terribly sorry but i'm not trying to be derogatory, i dont know if you're all just passive or not but i'm trying to offer up some information to promote community. I in no way am mad. Slight disgust in my stomach? sure. but not mad my friend.

I've not the time to be mad, i do have the time to offer suggestions and thought as to how i can help community and be part of that community.

However depending on your understanding of a few english words we((Anarchy and I)) could be perceived as flaming each other right now. However that depends how anal or how much of a social engineer you would like to be at this point.

if you take ineffable's advice i must recommend you use his words exactly. i used a common stereotype(not that i feel thats the case of the stereotype) ,but it was twisted to a point that i was jailed for saying it.

You don't shove everything under the carpet, even little things need an eyeballs glance. The small things in anything you do is the foundation for your future. Even in a video game it's rooting information and personalities into your system and teaching you how to respond to others.

Even if you're telling someone how you think they should respond to a situation that still doesn't trump what they're learning from being around less than optimal situations.

I was talking with someone earlier that had a couple great ideas that would allow the removal of the let other players accept you deal.

1) Add a limit per novice champ boss, if someone cant get in it's because the boss has more gamers v champion boss that it could support.

2) Add a limit to how many times you can kill the novice champ in a day per account, you could set it up in 12/24/36 hour relays or whichever is needed.
