Okay, I've spoke about this with a couple people, but I am still concerned that people are not really breaking down the numbers and realizing what they are investing when they grow their plants and then unload them for 2k or whatever. Now, I am not suggesting that everyone has to price their stuff the same or anything like that, but at 2k, IF you use sprinklers, you are losing money with each and every plant you sell.
Remember, this is only if you use sprinklers. And for those of us who mass grow in our gardens and stack pots/tables with flowers, then yeah, we're probably using sprinklers.
Cure - 150k/1000 - 150g per use
Poison - 150k/1000 150g per use
Water - 50k/1000 50g per use
Heal - 100k/1000 100g per use (rarely ever used - only if you whoops and miss a day)
Okay, so let's focus on Cure, Poison, and Water.
Let's pretend you make your kegs yourself so you're spending around 2k/100 for a keg of poison and around 3k/100 for a keg of cure. So, for every hit of poison, you'll be spending an extra 20g and for every hit of cure an additional 30g.
This means every sprinkler tap for cure is now 180g and every sprinkler tap for poison is now 170g. Water is free, so that's still just 50g a per use.
Alrighty then, you start growing a plant, yay! You are probably using regular dirt, which you soften, two taps of water 100g, mmm soft dirt. Plant your seed and in 10 days, you can harvest one seed, set your plant to deco and sell it. Sounds great! Now, let's imagine in this plant's 10 days of growing it needed 6 taps of poison, 5 taps of cure, and one dose of water per day.
So, you're wateredx2 on day 1, then 9 more days of water that's 550g.
Your poison and cure total for the plant comes to 1020g for the poison and 900g for the cure.
Your total is now: 2,470 gold
If you use fertile dirt at 25g per dirt, the cost will be an additional 1000g for the soil, but you MIGHT have one day less of growing and you MIGHT need less poison or cure. But, I've experimented with fertile dirt and generally found it a gamble that's not worth the end result unless I'm doing a special order for someone.
I see some vendors selling their flowers for 2k and they probably think they're doing great business. I'm not saying they aren't, but really, you're not making any money and you're losing gold with each and every flower you sell (if you use sprinklers to help you mass produce plants and flowers). You will not get ahead with bulk sales when every sale is a loss.
If you use a script with kegs or bottles, water pitcher, and trough, you can potentially have free water every day AND you will only be spending 30g per cure and 20g per poison. That would be a max of 50g per day, so 10 days of flower loving would be 500g or less. That's great, and I have a script that can do that, but it will take a hell of a lot longer than tap-tapping your sprinklers and being like "K, done!" And every 10 days, when you change your plants out, you might have to reset that part of your script.
Anyway, I just wanted it to be said, so people knew how much sprinklers were really costing them when they set up their flowers for sale. Also, it'd be nice if the general population understood how much game gold flowers really take to grow and that it takes 10 real life days to bring them to maturity (if we want a replacement seed before we set them to deco). It's a big investment and most of us are lucky if we get 500g profit from a flower after 10 days of waiting to harvest.
But, I'm probably preaching to the choir, since the general population usually does not read the forums (or the wiki). lololol
P.S. BULRUSHES are NOT bee friendly. I've tested them in solitary environments and they cannot sustain hives. They are plants, only, not flowers. So please stop trying to sell them as bee friendly flowers. Bee Friendly are Campions, Poppies, Lilies, and Snowdrops, only. Also, as a little debunk, Campions are not better than any of the others, either. I've tested them, no difference. Thanks!
P.P.S. If you get a mutation, and grow that plant out for an additional 7 days to gather all of its mutant seeds, you just spent another 50g, 230g, 240g, or even up to 520g per day of plant growing depending on if it needed just water, water and poison, water and cure, or water and poison and cure. Whew! That's an expensive plant.

Re: Flowers, Vendors, Math, & You
When I first did the math with the sprinkler system. I got exactly 1k less than you...I re-did it, lol You are right: more expensive than I thought it was. My plants are now much higher than they were...and I am only selling bee plants for a qhile: all at the same price. Thanks for the info, Vi!
