Reese old friend, you taught me many things when i was a newb, and I still see you doing that to this day. You are an asset to shard.

For some reason, many Vets here end up in disagreements with staff or more often some of the policies. The freedoms we have in real life are not extended here to this game. +Rayne explained the details very plainly before when Calan was leaving. Reading her words at the time shocked and offended me very much, but reading this was important to understand the stipulations and expectations upon us as players. I have quoted her below, twice i have removed segments with ... in order to shorten it, but not to take it out of context. If you don't want to read the shortened version, read it in the link below.

I believe this is an important lesson for everyone to understand. I take +Rayne's explanation, to me, as either accept things, or leave/be removed. Again, while seemingly harsh, important to note to oneself while playing here. I too once took up issue with the staff, and, keeping in mind what i had learned from +Rayne, I decided my time on UOEX was finished. For me, after six months I decided I could once again accept the pretext of +Rayne's explanation and returned. (P.S. No I won't discuss my issue with anyone)

My main point, other than to spread awareness. Is Reese, you just can't win this one. I'm not saying in the least that you should leave, or that you should be removed. But don't push things too far that you don't have a choice in it anymore. I don't want to see you go the way of Calan and so many others.

6. Behavior, attitude towards other players:
a. If there is more than one player at a spawn, the players must take turns. Once a player kills/tames a monster or takes/steals an item, he or she must go in the back of the line and wait for others to get their turn.
b. Champion spawn 8 candle rule is now enforced by the server automatically. Players need to split the gold from a champion spawn, and should agree upon who keeps the skull.
c. No drama. Accept the things you cannot change. If you are in an unresolvable conflict, be the smart one and walk away. Keep the private problems out of public chats, send a private message instead.

Just sayin. Says right there to keep your drama out of public chats. Nice easy to read words written by +Colibri. I am not saying whatever is going on is right or wrong. But it cleary states in +colibris rules to respect staff, and players, also states there not to Bring problems like this to public chats or anything. Which first It was all over world chat. Now to the forums. Should do like the rest of us do, If you feel there is a problem like that with staff, instead of showing how upset and thinking that making people on the shard have to deal with your problem. Write colibri an email instead and wait it out. That is what its there for.

So basically When the big dog is away the cats will play?
People that are supposed to be watching over the shard while he is away seem to make up rules or tell people stuff that aren't 100% true.

I want everyone reading this thread to ask themselves one question. Are the players who frequently receive punishment from staff given punishment because the staff enjoy negative encounters like this, or is there reason for the trend? A simple question. Think about it.

its all about who u know and how well reese and weither ur liked. while certain peeps get away with almost murder lol r the same peeps picked on that certain peeps dont like. r staff answering pages that have been placed on thier own player chacaters. I know most dont care but im not far from leaveing myself burnt out on the favorties of the shardnad others getting slamed while some do what they want. much less let two player s carry on like this in chat and forums and topic get locked, but because of who all posted on this one its allowed to continue. i dont think thounge lashing should be aloowed by players r staff

Are you mad Reese, as in crazy? You're saying +Nyx doesn't deserve to be a Seer because you didn't get your own way on getting an item created for you that doesn't currently exist the way you want it?

How many of us were told flat out NO by the last seer on things that we were later told by another GM were OK?! Did we have pissy fits on the forums and world chat? Nope! How many of us had pages 'escalated' by the last seer that +Colibri never got to see and would be surprised to hear about when he eventually spoke to the player for one reason or another? More than a few of us buddy, and we didn't whine and complain on forums or world chat. And the reason we controlled ourselves is simply because we knew, although we didn't like the information we received, it would break the shard rules to do what you have done and get us in trouble. It just isn't worth it to have tantrums like this. You got punished for yours. Okay? That's all that happened here. You freaked out for no reason, abused a staffer and went to jail, accept the reality and move on. It would have happened to any of us who acted the same way.

Some people like +Rayne and +Nyx were and are better than some other staff that have come and gone, and a hell of a lot more honest--even if you do not always like the answer. The very idea that you would call +Nyx a liar and not deserving of her rank because you didn't get the answer that pleased you best makes you look stupid. *pity face*

Overall this whole thing is out of hand. The best way to deal with this is to close the thread/delete I'm sure everyone can see that. When an argument starts its best to walk away or ignore it. Then it will stop instead of drawing out. lol

I can see why he feels as though he was lied to, however that does not excuse the behavior. Some things are better to be left alone and walk away. Is it worth the heartache to argue the fact any further? What will your in-game or forum comments accomplish that cannot be done discretely through an e-mail to +C? Don't get me wrong, I've had my disputes with staff as well, but you must know when to say enough is enough. If I've learned one thing in life/UO it is when to cut losses and move on.
