possible afk check exploit

Post by Fiernocht »

hey guys okay so my linux compy dosent like it when i switch windows to say like change the music i am listening to.
I was mining tonight and I got an afk check. just before that i had switched songs and came back and could not type in the letters. I logged out of uo and logged back in in hopes the gump would pop back up as does the vet reward gump. it did not.
I have not been jailed at all by the system. so in theory if someone could write a script that notices the afk gump, logs the char out and back in, they could beat the afk system. Just something to watch out for.

Actually if you log out with the AFK check gump unanswered it sends a blast message to the staff telling us that you did it, and I am pretty sure it counts against your time on the next AFK check. TBH I think that it should move the player to jail upon log-in and log it somewhere the staff can check when we're on to see it.
