Thank heavens, it's done!

Post by +Nyx »

The patch is finally complete and in Colibri's hands. It's been tested on every computer the 3 of us could access, on every operating system from XP forward, and on various levels of processing and RAM power from junky little netbooks with 1gb ram up to the beastly systems we all use as primaries. And it works :) Coli has a few little things to do before it can be sent out live, but they're minor and shouldn't take too much time when he can spare it. He seemed excited by it, though, so hopefully it can go in quickly; and then V and I can really get started on developing our big new projects. :D :dance

Thanks again for all the time and effort put into this. My circuit city laptop appreciates the extensive testing.

:) I'm so excited (and relieved) that it's finally done. You guys have noooo idea how many hours I put into it. My previous 400 hours estimate wasn't even half of it by the end.

Moved to the public forum so everyone else can hear the good news too :)

As of today, a few players have tested the patch files as well, and had no problems. We will likely contact several more players to test the patch files at some point before it is ready to go live, but so far everything is looking good.

If, when it's out, it doesn't work on my computer I will let you know. I run an old 2003 Dell Dimensions 2300 with only 256mb of ram. lol This old thing can't handle a lot, but It can handle UO just fine.

One quick question, Will there be a published list of all the changes, or is it going to be left for us to explore and find out?

Thanks for all hard work!

One thing though, it is 8am MST and I can't log on. Is the server still down? Sorry if I missed something :?

Nice to see classic games getting substantial content updates.

This (and previous content additions) have really changed the game in a healthy way.

Everything seems to be synchronizing together in a homogeneous way as well.

Excited for this, thanks to everyone who contributed
