Kia ora,
I have almost been here a year and have not used pets at all.
My char is quite capable of taking on the vast majority of creatures within this realm, however what i would like to know is wether or not this path is ultimately futile, with enough gear and the right weapons will i eventualy be able to take down anything single handedly?
I know there are some rather epicly geared ubermensch rockin around this server and i would greatly apreciate any info you could provide me.

there are still quite a few things where it would be tricky as heck to take down solo without pets. unless you are beyond super duper..

the icy wyrm can still one hit even the highest level geared up person
the fire ruby dragon at full health can take down most

the pair of hydras in prism of light can easily fall most people unless they are able to split them up

and the list rolls on.

so its a nice thing to have in your back pocket pets etc because it takes a long time to get to the level where the list of things that you can't handle solo shortens to a handfull

I like you spent my whole first year without pets. Then I realized that for me to move to the next level, I had to use pets to increase the flow of gold, so I bought some uber mules and used them for a few years until I felt I was strong enough to survive on my own for the most part. Now, they rarely come out (only for expediency purposes).

But, to get to your question, I wear only one relayer, and that as a GOC tunic onto a shirt. The rest are GOC pieces or items gotten from the game. I can handle almost anything besides Fire breath creatures, Remnant elites and maybe a double team or triple team in Twisted Wield. So, without becoming an ubermensch, you still should be able to be quite successful here and enjoy this shard.

Oh, one final note. Why play the game if you can take everything down singlehandedly? I think the ideal position is to become strong yet still maintain a certain level of vulnerability to keep this game exciting and challenging. If you know you will never die, the game will cease to have any meaning.
