unreasonable jail
so a friend of mine ended up quiting the shard bout a year ago, and emailed me his account info and said he didnt want to play anymore, but didnt want to delete his account because he had put over 100$ into his character by donating. and instead ove deleting it he gave it to me and told me i could have all his stuff so that it didnt just get deleted. just today, i finally got a chance to clear everything of his except for his character. all i did was ask to have him trasnfered to my account so i could delte his account and i got jailed with 500tasks. by the way for anyone who cares the friend of mine was named Oldman Higgins if anyone remembers him. i thinks its is unfair and unreasonable. that is all, and will possibly not be back on the shard after today.
Re: unreasonable jail
The only thing this post is missing is how much you and him help/helped the young players.
Look at this from our perspective. You just told us that you logged into an account that wasn't yours. Now you want us to merge two accounts into one. How do we know that this individual is consenting with you having his account? We don't know. What we do know is there is someone who currently controls two accounts. The rule is only one account per person. It is a violation with a severe punishment to be caught controlling more than one account. Sorry.
Also, we do not do character transfers between accounts.

Re: unreasonable jail
Further, if your friend quit a year ago, and you'd never logged into the account then account would have decayed and would no longer exist for you to have logged onto it just today. Someone has been using that account at very least sporadically. Players are not permitted to share accounts or utilize one another's accounts for any reason. That your friend was trying to give you free stuff doesn't justify or excuse it. He could have logged on to transfer everything to you. It would've taken less than an hour, and you would not have run into this issue. Instead, all parties violated one of our most important rules and you then proceeded to tell me the rule shouldn't apply to you because your friend said you could. When that didn't sway me, you then threatened to 'bring down' the shard.
Sorry, but the staff have no sympathy for that sort of thing. It's not difficult to avoid being punished for violating this rule.

Re: unreasonable jail
Well, although sometimes there's grey areas and hard to know every possible rule in the book, the one-account-per-person is very advertised here and so we don't consider not knowing to be an excuse.
Not much to add here since +Nyx and +Veritas have already said it all, but just to confirm, it's not allowed to use another player's account, and we don't transfer characters between accounts.
