Unable to login

I played on this server a year ago (or longer). I can login fine on the portal but when I try to log into the server on the UO client it just sticks on Verifying account.

nevermind, it logged in but my character is gone.

If you want the character back, I believe there is an account retrieval option, but it costs some money.
