****************************************

********* DATE has been set to 03January2015 @ 6pm (1800 hours) Eastern Time (-5:00 GMT). Please, if you wish to attend and this time does not work for you, reply here and I do my best to accommodate everyone's schedule! Thank you for your patience! ****************************
I will provide screen shots of the items as they roll in, posting the item and proposed starting bid so that potential buyers can have a bit of time to get their wallets ready

Please, if you plan on submitting an item for auction (any item. I'll sell a pair of old shoes) be sure to do so soon and PM Richter with a REASONABLE starting bid. Starting bids on most items should be 25-50% lower than the "going rate". This actually gives players a chance at getting something awesome for an awesome price (rather than a prolonged version of buying something from a vendor). In the future, I will host auctions with 1gp starting bids for whatever items I can get, but until then, keep the starting bids realistic. If you don't know where you should price it, I'll offer case by case consultation. I reserve the right to refuse sale of any items the seller does not wish to price reasonably, so be sure you bring items that you're okay with not getting 100% retail value on. On the flip side, some items go for far more than retail, so be flexible!!!!!!
As always, READ THE RULES BEFORE ATTENDING OR SUBMITTING ANY ITEMS FOR THE BLOCK!!!! There will NOT be a YPA this time around!!!

1. Most items start at 10k gold.
2. Bidding intervals in the YPA is a minimum of 5k, maximum of 10k. (i.e. someone bids on an item, bringing it up to 25k, you can bid 30k [5k more] or 35k [10k more]). Bidding in the Veteran’s Auction is a minimum of 10k increase in price with no maximum.
C. The auction will be divided by types.
1. Order may change, but there will be a weapons segment, jewelry segment, rare mount segment, armor segment & so on.

IV.Types of Auctions
A. Young Player Auction
1. Who Can Participate: A Young/New player can participate; either by themselves or by using a sponsor.
2. Money Options:
a) A new/young player can use their own funds, or
b) A new/young player has the option of using funding via a Sponsor.
3. How to get a Sponsor:
a) A young player may retain a Sponsor upon request via PM to Neanderthal or Richter no later than 1 hour prior to an event.
b) If a young player knows someone who will sponsor them, the Sponsor must notify Neanderthal or Richter no later than 1 hour prior to the.
4. Items to expect
a) Items will be low to mid level. Classic arties, mid level armor sets (100% LRC, all 70’s resists, etc) fall into this category.
B. Veteran Auction
1. Who can participate: Any player.
2. Items to Expect:
a) Typically any range of items from low to rare to “I didn’t know that existed”.
V.Sponsorship
A. Sponsorship: You can either be sponsored in the YPA or be a sponsor for a young player.
1. Being sponsored:
a) If you are sponsored in an auction, there are some rules to follow. Generally:
(1) Discuss with your sponsor what will be done with the left over funds after the auction is complete, if there are any.
(2) Be honest, don’t request a sponsor if you already have 500k or are capable of getting money quickly.
(3) Be respectful. It’s not required that you have a sponsor, if you’re lucky enough to have one, keep in mind that they are not obligated to let you keep any leftover funds
(4) You are not bidding on these items for a vet. Occasionally we will have some very rare items on auction for young players. Vets will naturally want these items as well and might try to use a younger player to get an item. If it is found that a younger player was used to purchase an item for a vet, both players will be permanently banned from future auctions.
2. Being a Sponsor
a) If you are a Sponsor at the YPA, please keep in mind and note that:
(1) You may only sponsor a new player up to 500k for the entire auction.
(2) You may only sponsor 1 player per auction. Multiple sponsorships may become available due to unforeseen circumstances and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
(3) You are responsible for establishing what will happen to any leftover funds with your new player.
(4) Sponsors and players will be matched up by the Auction staff. Both the new player and the proposed sponsor have the option to decline a proposed pairing.
(5) Sponsors are encouraged to coach their players on how much an item is worth and when to stop bidding during the auction through either PM or Party chat.
(6) Sponsors are encouraged to keep silent during the auction.
(7) Sponsors cannot bid on behalf of a young player.
VI.Disqualifications
1. These actions will disqualify any member before, during or after an auction, sometimes permanently. The Auction staff retains the right to remove any members from the auction at any time for any reason. (We’re pretty reasonable)
a) Lying about financial status (i.e. saying you have less than 500k when you in fact have more than that)
b) Purchasing ED or acquiring more funds during an auction, especially during a YPA.
c) Being disruptive during auction proceedings.
d) Insulting any person.
e) Intimidating other players out of bidding so that you can win the item. (i.e. “I have more money than you, you’ll never get it, don’t even bother trying”)
f) Taunting other players.
VII.Item Display
1. We will do our best to put the items for auction on display prior to the auction. Items can also be donated to be auctioned off for the owner’s profit.
a) Items will be displayed on the forums when possible as they become available.
b) Items will also be on display at an area yet to be named. Update to follow.
VIII.Donating Items:
A. To donate an item(s), please PM Neanderthal or Richter and meet for a review of the item and detailed explanation of the proceedings.
B. Only a limited number of items will be accepted for auctioning due to time constraints.
C. 10% of sold items’ proceeds will be kept by the auction staff to implement future accommodations to find more items to auction.
