Server Connection Issues

Hey guys,

Is anyone else having connection issues? My connection to the shard seems to drop far too often to be coincidence lately. I've run every diagnostic I can think of on my end and I'm coming up empty. The only issue I can find is connecting to the shard. I've even thrown on some third party router monitoring software and nothing seems to be amiss. Just curious if this is happening to anyone else. Geographically, I'm in SW Ohio.

It happens to me often. Most times I can get right back in. I was using a powerline/ethernet connect to the router.
Then got a usb/wifi stick but disc still happens. Voip still working so internet is still up, or modem is losing and gaining its connection back really fast. Sorry you're having something similar but it makes me think it's not something on my end.

Have you noticed it happening while you're doing anything specific in game? Any sort of pattern as to what you're doing or where you're at when it happens most often?

One of the things that will cause that is if you are not running programs in compatibility mode Windows XP or as administrator you need both of them on.

Not particularly. It was an odd sort of thing, here and there for the past week or two. Today it was very bad. However, in my...overzealousness, I irreparably harmed my router. The good folks at Time Warner are coming out in the next hour or two to swap some things out and get it stable again. Will update with results later...

EDIT: Turns out, it was a bad component at the pedestal. I received the very technical explanation from TWC who said that their parts are apparently not weatherproof and therefore break when the seasons change (me paraphrasing).

Not surprising, I never had any good experiences with TWC when we had them.

Well, hopefully that's fixed your problem but if not, try and see if it happens in any particular instances in-game.

Thanks. Whatever they did to "fix" the issue seems to have made it worse. It's definitely a TWC issue (across multiple devices now). I suppose I will have to call them again...
