New Player - A quick question

Hello all!

Just wanted to ask a quick question if I may, is there anything glaringly obvious I need to read first before bumping skills up etc at trainer level? I am ok at going through wiki's and stuff to get information but I didn't really play much of the expansion that changed armour to resistances or do many champion spawns which I think this shard is loosely modelled on as I stopped playing around 2001 so is there stuff I should read and do first?

Just been mining a few times so far as I always found that relaxing.

I would walk through all the dungeons. At Newbie status, they won't attack you. It will give you a chance to see the world.
Once you lose your Newb status, they will attack you.

Thanks I didn't know that, I thought in dungeons you were fair game.

In SOME dungeons you are okay. You'll get a warning popup, if they are gonna attack you or not. If you do, a good way to see what is around is simply remove all your clothing/weapons/armor and bank EVERYTHING. Then go in and die. Then while a ghost just go explore. I still do that sometimes.

Must get to new player rat quests as soon as combat skills are up to scratch.
