Just thought id say hello, Been thinking about having a game again and found your server via a google search, I played UO from the first expansion when I believe they introduced Trammel, played on the Europa shard as an archer called Tiberian, eventually going a guild that I think were called the Eternal Warriors who I was a member of for about 3 years when I left to play SWG.

I imagine the game will still play similar to all those years ago ? if so and I can get it up and running I might see you in game!

Hi, so got the game running and had a run about then decided to alter some settings, selected full screen mode and higher resolution and when i clicked ok all i got was a full black screen with strobing effect.

Cannot seem to do anythnig to reset back to default settings.

Any suggestions ?

Welcome Tiberian! I'm sorry, but I don't have much to offer in terms of help with your resolution problem. Do you use Razor? If so I believe there is an option in there to force the game screen to a certain size. You can access that before you launch the client I think, so may be able to fix it like that. Otherwise perhaps take a look at the config files.

In the /Ultima Online Excelsior Shard/Desktop/*Login name*/Excelsior/*Character* folder is a file called uo.cfg

It probably has a line in it: FullScreen=on

change it to off

Hi Tiberian, I used to play on Europa as well from around the same time 1997-2003 and I can really recommend this server. The people are friendly and helpful and there is a real community feeling much the same as Europa used to have.

Gamewise things are quite heavily customised so I suggest reading the WIKI especially the New players guide as your 1st 21 days will likely be spent macroing, skilling up in the training room [takes no time at all] and killing Rats. Do the MOA Champ spawn as often as you can, I found archery to be the most helpful skill here as well as Hide as the spawn tends to be dominated by pets - Mules and hand to hand is still quite deadly at this level. Taming on this server will be your friend if you want to advance quickly, I haven't bothered as I tend to take things at a leisurely pace.
