Auto Looter

Hey Guys,

I've been searching all over the place and i cannot find a script that works for auto looting Gold, Oints, Elixers, and Valuable weapons etc. Does anyone have a link or have a script they use that works well? I prefer to use Easy UO for this, I am a Razor user, I do not have UO Steam.

Get UO Steam... period... the auto looter, scavenger and organizer are plenty to jump. Everyone I've talked into to switching now use it as their main utility.

They take some learning but very similar to the others so not a bad learning curve if you're already familiar.

The auto healer requires some odd tweaks but once done it works great with the 220+ Dex aids. Coupled with EUO for your deep scripts and more complex heals you're golden.

I've use UOsteam, I did not care for it. I might give it another try later on in the future, but for now, instead of re-making hundreds of macros and scripts that I have written myself or acquired over the last 8 years of free shard UO I do not see the point, expecially if there is a decent Easy UO script out there that actually works.

Some ppl use Kiana's looter for EasyUO. I dont use it personally, some ppl had issues with it crashing. That is an EasyUO option. I dont see much coming out since Steam basically covers it all.

Its not fast as steam looter but it is great to look for those rare weps specially if u have lots of corpses to look through. Its called tm_advclaw for easyuo. U can find it on easyuo site under loot asistants i believe. I still use steam for gold n regs n such cause of speed but u may like claw even though. Any questions pm in game ill answer when i can

Thanks for the info, I ended up finding Nilmers, and a couple add-ons for it to auto loot , gold, was also able to script in ointments and elixers and edit what q weap, jewlery, armor properties to look for and loot if it meets the specs, it works well, has only looted one worthless xbow so far. It also uses my bag of sending to send gold away when I am at or over a specified weight.

There's a crashing bug buried in uo.dll (used by EasyUO and OpenEOU) where if your character moves at the same time as EasoUO directs the client to move an item, the client crashes. Source code has not been released, so no one can attempt to hunt it down save its original author. If you stand perfectly still while looting, an EasyUO auto-looter will work just fine.

This is not actually surprising. Uo.dll tinkers with the client's internal data structures on one CPU core while the client runs on another. The client has no semaphores or mutexes to deal with this intrusion, so the occasional collision is inevitable.

The problem can be mitigated with code which frequently checks for movement and aborts on detection. But that doesn't eliminate all the crashes, it just cuts their frequency.

Bottom line: if you want an autolooter in anything but UO Steam, you will have to accept the occasional crash.

Good to know, thanks, Wil. This easyuo looter doesn't even seem to load right for me, some of the options are bugged together and you can't read them. But, if they all crash anyways, I'll just give UOsteam a shot. I am a little confused to which website to download from, though, there is no www.uosteam.com. Anyone have a link?

EasyUO based looters are by far too slow. You will need to use openEUO - I think there are a few nice and working scripts on the website. You might need to do some adjustments. In general the autolooters are only worth it for weapon evaluation and iirc no one migrated one to openEUO..

Posting this from the bias point of view of using a EUO looter since foreverzies, However the customisability which comes along with euo is the reason It's great, not stability on looting while running or speed.

Ive used euo looter since forever and steam for over a year now. Neither have crashed me in that time tm advclaw is mainlt for nice modded stuff steam for all else. Try em u will like them
