Re: [UOSteam] Alamiester's SpringQuestRunner v0.1
So there I thought I had a decent thing to save headaches and then you come out withthis...awesome job.
One thing...seems to get weird with critter killing and I have no idea what " For the second, third, and fourth you need to hit= your assigned hotkey after every verment killed" means...I'm guessing the macro hotkey to begin with?
Anyway I have uosteam set normally to open new corpses and when i hit the macro hotkey it'll search one of the open corpses and add the things and then say target something else (there is no target up btw) or hit esc. I then hit the hot key again and open a corpse and maybe it works maybe it doesn't...it's weird. What am I screwing up?

I noticed that after you finish adding one of an item that it will continue to attempt to add it to the book instead of adding the other ones that aren't done. Otherwise, good job on the script, thank you for your work.

yeah, i played with differrent ways to add the items to the book, checking for every item in your pack seemed to work the best. sometimes if you have to many corpses around you it gets a little wacky. i recomend killing one critter at a time, it seems to run smoother that way.

it would run alot smoother if you could claim the bodies.
as far as the script trying to keep adding the parts when its already complete, i usually loot the last couple manually if one is full, or set a key to stop the macro, so you can trash the item its stuck on. i could probly put in a count type on each item, but that would probly take another 100 lines of code since there are so many items, lol

I've found using the script for the first half to be awesome, then i just use UOSteam's autoloot to dump to a container and manually target...very easy to do.

i didnt wanna add all of those items to autoloot, pain in the butt when your doing something else and it starts looting things that have the same graphics.

i updated this so that it doesnt ask what questbook its on everytime. itll only ask the first time you run it.

I haven't had a single issue since the first time I used it.

That is true, I find it doesn't work as well when you whirlwind them so there's no point in doing that. Just stand still, run the script, and hack away until you fill up on an item. Definitely works better than any other scripts I've used for this quest.Alamiester wrote:i usually loot the last couple manually if one is full, or set a key to stop the macro, so you can trash the item its stuck on.
