Levelable items, new BOD REWARDS, mating delay deeds

Post by +Colibri »

There's been many many many additions since the last release.

1. Levelable items. You need to buy a deed (details will be published soon) from a stone, and make your weapon levelable.
Everytime you kill something you have 50% chance for your weapon to gain Exp. Everytime you hit something you have 25% chance to gain Exp. The better the creature, the more exp it will gain. Also, the amount of exp it can gain is capped by the level - it will gain better when level 10, as if it was lvl 1.

To open your weapon's properties, type [itemexp and target your levelable weapon.

This is a new system that still needs to be balanced. So we may over time reconfigure this, make it harder or easyer.

2. Morpheus has provided the new BOD rewards. The new version updates carpentry, fletcher, and taming bods. Browse the forums for more info.

3. Mating delay deeds. these will be available on some vendor stone... simply doubleclick the deed and target a matingdelayed pet, or a pet claim ticket. Each use of the deed reduces the delay by 24 hours. So use the wisely :)

4. Implemented the system for tracking down playerkillers that exploit certain ways... ways that enable you to kill a player even in trammel.
This is kind of experimental, i hope it does it's job well.

5. Tinkering customs chances redefined:
41% chance to make a toolhouse or a runic house
13% chance to make a resourcekey, or a mobile forge.
Dont look at the 40% chance or whatever the tinkering menu tells you - those values are wrong.

6. trainers. before they were just regular evil druids, renamed :) now theyre tecinically defined as trainers ... so you wont be able to gain item exp in the training room :p

7. Pets made so they cannot gain levels on trainers anymore. They still gain very fast, at the same rate as before, but you'll need to level them on monsters (well, can be rats aswell).

8. granite box. A replacement for the resourcebox, which is going out of service shortly. stay tuned in the announcements forum for more details.

9. safe trash for tokens trashbag - you will no longer get multiple messages about getting 3-5 tokens for each item, but it will just sum the amounts up and tell you what you gained.
the CLEAR command on the trashbag disabled. To prevent exploiting. You can now store a max of 30 items in it.

10. balron made a tad harder, and a tad more gold drop
fandancers and Onis drop a tad less gold.

11. Treasure chests can contain gargoyle tools!
Depends on the level of the chest, you get diffirent drop levels and diffirent amounts of uses. Makes treasure chests fun :)

12. gold made a bit heavyer, ... from what i see our gold de-weightment was too rapid.

13. Toolhouse made so it stores Brush (animal taming tool)

14. firehorn now works even with sulfurous ash from your spellkeys.

15. and plenty other changes, all of them minor system stuff that dont concern players... so i wont list them.

Please be careful. Don't be like OSI and do one patch after another without working the kinks in it first. There's a ton of bugs because of this.

well, on testing the levelable items thingy ive decided they cannot go in the game yet... they were leveling too fast. and the granitebox doesnt work for players (opens fine for me, because of the access level... not same with players) - but that is going to be fixed in a week.

o yes - the larger the server the slower it moves... it there were 100 people online there would surely be a few people that test the thing 1 week before it goes out.
