Changelogs - Winter&Spring 2020

January 7th, 2020
FIX Major cleanup of scripts, loose ends and various script snippets. (things that got left over in the last few years, with some files going as far back as 2013)
UPGRADE Improved the server-restart-countdown script, it's now properly integrated into the main shard code.

January 16th, 2020
FIX Error with being frozen after resurrection (when the Restoration spell is used).
FIX Bathtub addon - robe now looks like a folded piece of cloth.
FIX Minor glitch in the addon preview rendering.
FIX Ethereal dyetub no longer crashes UO Steam connections.
FIX Miniature clay ethereal, weapon is relayered to it, it will no longer act as a weapon when equipped (acts as an offhand item).

February 6th, 2020
FIX Typo in BOD bulk-add.
FIX House signs still displayed "In danger of collapse" even after the player has logged in.
FIX BioTool from Doctor Apocalypse now also gives the option to convert it to Organic Enzymes (like the regular biotool).
FIX Holiday wreath, when placed, sometimes jumped a up a floor.
FIX Server restart countdown - fixed alignment of text on the gump that shows up when disconnected.
INTERNAL Various technical fixes, added staff tools for simpler staffing and better cooperation with new staff member.

February 15th, 2020
UPGRADE Large BOD data code re-organized.
ADD BOD of your choice deed.
FIX Backpack blessing now works correctly (with the Deed to make your main backpack blessed)
FIX Ammo consumption deed fixed.
FIX Reorganized the auction template system (which makes it easier to set up auctions).
UPGRADE Ability to switch the order of your characters in the [account menu.
FIX Corpse stone gump now also shows date (used to show only time) for recoverable corpses.
UPGRADE MyStuff command now correctly labels items in your Exex balance as "In Exex", not at some weird coordinates. Added ability to help locate the item (tells you how many steps in which direction to take, to get to the item).
UPGRADE Improvenets to the auction system - to build the list of items that will be on sale.
FIX Error with saved private message if the sender has already been deleted.
INTERNAL Various technical fixes, improvements to staff tools.

February 18th, 2020
FIX Sharpening blade didn't show uses when locked down.
FIX Ancient war hammer incorrect stats.
FIX Bod of your choice didn't check whether bod is in your backpack when used
FIX Beehive daily cycle gets occasionally postponed by an hour, changed configuration so that this might no longer happen.
ADD Server revert detection & logging. Server restarts are also now logged.
INTERNAL Various techical fixes.

February 18th, 2020
UPGADE Improve tool for doing AFK checks, to show players' check history (failed or successful)

April 6th, 2020
FIX Some more fixes with the AFKcheck tools.
INTERNAL Various technical fixes and improvements.

May 10th, 2020
FIX Fishing pole bug that crashed the server.
ADD Automatic pruning of some types of log entries in the log database.

June 10th, 2020
FIX Some more fixes with the AFKcheck tools.
INTERNAL Various technical fixes and improvements.
FIX TourThankYou command now displays a message that the tourthankyou system is no longer available.
FIX Melisande's hair dye - when using it, and you are bald or your hair is already that hue, it shows a message (otherwise it seems as if nothing happened, and that it's broken).
FIX Auction stone logging (some things didn't get logged). Bidding gumps are now draggable.
UPGRADE Recoded/reorganized the code that runs the auction preparation system. (there was an issue with it, which broke auction preparations)
UPGRADE House decay improvements: account-bound items in the house are now deleted when the house drops. Better algorithm for deleting yard items.
ADD Milestone system that gives out the rewards in real-time.
FIX A component in the logging system had a critical error where in a certain situation, the log message was not recorded (fortunately this applied only to very specific messages that were irrelevant errors anyway). Improvements in the log message pipeline to preserve message order.
FIX Fungal lurker ambush error.

June 24th, 2020
ADD Trivia system.
FIX Added safety check to a multithreaded code.
INTERNAL Improvements to backup-searching functionality, staff tools

Bump - I have just added the changelogs between February and June. Since there haven't been many game-changing edits, I have joined Winter and Spring into the same thread.

could we get some more info on the fungal lurker ambush error? im wondering if this fix was for the level 7 & 8 stash note lurkers that would one hit treasure hunters as soon as they spawned. if this fix was not about the level 7 & 8 lurkers can i get an answer on whether or not those lurkers are bugged or if it was intended that those notes cannot be soloed and are a group event.

The fungal lurker issue was a technical one - level 1 lurkers caused an error and then just didn't do any ambushing.
Lurkers' stats were decreased in March 2019 (strength about halved, intelligence 20% down, damage 25% down), I forgot why that change was made at the time...

As for the high-level lurkers being one-hitters, I dont think that was specifically intended, but it's also not a bug. Each level just has greater stats, and eventually you come to a level where you don't survive the first hit. But i guess with all the possibilities in the game, it's not possible to put together gear strong enough to survive it. So... not exactly by design, but since it already is like that - yeah, a group effort :)
