In my past, I have played several shards. Why have I stuck around here so long, you may ask? The answer to that question can be summed up in three points: 1) Excelsior has a nice well-balanced world to play in, 2) The player base has been awesome since day 1, 3) The shard is overseen by the best and most gracious administrator online - +Colibri.
Since I've been here, I haven't asked for too much from the game, only the opportunity to play it. But today, I am going to invoke veteran privilege and make a list of things I would like to see implemented in our world. This will be the only time I will bring these requests up.
1. Country Flags.
On the main page of our forum, we list all the countries represented by the payers here. I would love to have those flags made into a deeded item where we can proudly display our country in our homes.
2. Can we create a spawn or monster that summons its minions that can only be dispatch by 'Hit Dispel'? I have lost count of the weapons that dropped for me that were ruined by this one property. I am sure I am not the only one whose eyes light up when they see 58,58,58, or 46,46,46,46 then have your heart crater when1 of them is Hit Dispel.
3. Change the Player Event Stone to allow individual purchase of Participation Rewards, instead of having to buy a lot of 50.
4. Please ensure that you keep separate, Veteran and Donation rewards. Both categories deserve their own special items. Nothing was more deflating to me than to see some newer player riding or carrying an item I waited for years to get.
5. As we all know, the shard is currently in a staff shortage. Because of that, it makes it hard to run special events like we used to back in the day.
You know what we aren't short of? - Rich veteran players. Besides myself and a couple guilds, player run events are few and far between. Many of
you are sitting on piles of gold just waiting for the 'next cool thing' to buy at auction. How about taking some of that gold and helping Excelsior out by hosting some type of event. Anything to help the shard that you call home.
6. If this hasn't happened already, I would love to see Junobo's Museum and Chrysanthe's Plant museum made Timeless. They spent a lot of time and personal money into making those places what they are.
7. I expect that when veteran rewards were first considered, the powers to be never considered players like me, Isaac Newton, Jenas Peraux, Kitty Hawk, Durek and others to last so long. It would be nice to have something to look forward to. I have plenty of ideas if anybody is wondering what could be made.
