this is how economy works.... when you print a lot of cash (gp) without having something to back that, the rarity becomes useless. how about this... all monsters drop 40k gold. how much do you think inflation occurs. a lot. of course something's gonna cost more, because people know that fact about the gold drop. then the population grows...more people hunting/bees. more money into the economy, with only the vendor stones in trinsic, casino, auctions and what not to get rid of that mass amount of gold. if you would say every player had 5 million in gold (if you averaged it i bet it would be higher) how much gold is really out there. if there were 240 players (which was the last cornerstone i think) that's roughly 1.2 billion worth in gp out there. i know not everyone has 5 million but i said average... i bet some vets have more than 5 million

. so of course people want eds and are willing to pay 50k ea, because they already have a lot of gp; it doesn't matter. then the seller thinks he can get away with 55k per, and population grows and more cash into the system, and they have more money to spend on more eds. i'm just curious could colibri check to see exactly how much gold's out there? i'm just curious that's all. 1.2 billion wow that's nuts. you know if you take a dollar bill and stack them 1 billion is double the height of the empire state building. sorry got off track. maybe we should trade dirt instead lots of that around too. willing to sell noble for 5 kilo's of dirt pm me.
what's my point: to reduce the standard of living you must first reduce the ability to get mass amounts of gold. auctions come and people use vendor stones; it might take awhile because people will always hold on to gp.
about wealthy newplayers. eds come into the economy like that yumi bow you just made. just more rare. gold just exchanges hands just like selling that bow. all that does is reduce the price of the eds. more eds less rare, lower price. But there is a vendor stone that gets rid of those fast for people that are using them. i can't harvest them, and so they are prone to being more expensive. <---with the plentiful gp out there it's easy to get, and use right away. there are checks and balances to eds but not really to gold.
how do we fix this?
adding new things to vendor stones, but price them high. druid book at 6 million would take a lot of gold out of the game. if 100 people wanted it woot. 600 million gp gone.

or change the loot template, which would take a very long time for every monster. ugh would hate to do that. change the honey price to like 100gp ea, bees wax 220 gp ea.
