The way I see it, is if people claim that something doesn't make any gold, and therefore it should be allowed to be done AFK, then slowly other skills will be requested to allow AFK macro.

The shard wouldn't be any fun at all if everyone ran around AFK macro'ing everything. If you want to get technical, all skills trained via a macro potentially make money, albeit indirectly. Once you train stealing, for example, then you can run around getting 5 finger discounts, turn around and sell the items.

I guess none of the GMs particularly like me, because I've never been visited in game. Actually I'm outright ignored as if I don't exist, except when donating money. LOL But then again I've never ever missed an AFK macro. Because frankly, if I'm going to play the game, I'm going to play it correctly and have fun. Don't see any sense in doing a ton of AFK macros. Sure I'm guilty of doing some skills like magery. But after it was all said and done I felt that I cheated myself out of the experience.

Just remember, that in life, some times the journey is more fun than the destination.

And, it's just a ride. :D (Thanks, Bill Hicks!)

guess ill quote this again
" "i do understand the rules i broke and punishment - i dont agree with punishment that is enforced. i am not going to try to debate against it, although i think it needs revision"
i am not trying to get out of jail. this is what i get to do during the time i would normally play uo since im in jail for a week, merely a substitute. "

your flames are greatly appreciated. this is turning out to be entertaining in some way for someone atleast.

i would also like to quote this, it seems to be missed
" please, consider the events that lead to this...
next consider my log of over 30+hours fishing
now, was it really necessary? (out of the past week since the death/loss incident i have been jailed 3 times for fishing afk) "

like i said i would have never turned to fishing. but since i did i have over 5 days worth of time total fishing, i didnt account the time that was afk earlier. that is 124 hours, *and i did account for all ancient sos i gathered in that time, and its not even 1/4 of what i was told i will most likely need to fish up the captain jack sparrows cutlass. any person with a life and following your rules would be lucky if in a year of only fishing they managed to get one.

*i forgot the 2 times i lost items due to failing afk check, but it cant be anymore then 2 ancient sos, if any...

i feel that if i can unlawfully lose 2 months of time then some consideration of lenients should be implemented. although i understand that nearly everything ive done since october 8 has turned all staff against me. yes i am at fault for my actions here. who is at fault for my loss? no one they got away with it. im sure they are enjoying every second of this, possibly even posted here.

i recently discovered another victim of a released hostile pet.
http://www.uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=18559#p18559

sooner or later this person will be caught. hopefully people become aware of this forum topic(released hostile pet pk).
until this is fixed +veritas post had info i didnt even think of using, mainly because i didnt think anyone would want to do such a thing here. http://www.uoex.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=18531#p18531

there was 3 lines ill note - this will take a screenshot if your health drops, though you will need to edit the amount in razor to fit yours. it is very likely that even by then he has dissappeared but keep journal open so i might catch his name too. i have a sneaky suspicion that all it will capture is the named pet.

Assistant.Macros.IfAction|0|0|60
Assistant.Macros.HotKeyAction|1107|
Assistant.Macros.EndIfAction

If this player is not caught by the time im outa jail, i have a new goal.

You were not killed by a hostile pet... or any wandering monster.
We can see what killed you last. And we can also see if that what killed you last was spawned, released, summoned... by any player. Technically speaking, you were killed by nothing.

So, I can guarantee you. You are not a victim of a monster attacking. You have died, and were not killed. Only explanation for that I can see is the remove trap macro. It might have worked 3 days before but then probably failed to remove trap a few times and that's what killed you. Or it could have been something else... but with my 4.5 years of experience, being real close with how the shard works... it's not a bug.

As for AFK... I think the penalties are pretty much reasonable.
1. When caught the first time, you just get a warning. Might have also been you had to run from the computer as an emergency and couldn't stop your macro.
2. When caught the second time, that means you didn't understand the warning. So you get 24 hours.
3. If you do it again the 3rd time, well then, you must really not be listening. A 7 day jail should make you understand, and hopefully you will not do it again when you get out.

And I think, if you go AFK, unless if there's a fire or an earthquake, i think it's very simple to click Pause or Stop in razor.
