Have u tried with a full plate to gain Hiding? I dont remember how i did it, but i havent bought a skill ball for sure and my skill is at 120. Maybe I combined it with stealth.

I finally have all of the 120 Powerscrolls! I ended up buying the last one from the ED room...

Camping skill gains just fine from 100 to 120. Took about 1k kindling, maybe a bit more. Skillball/Elixiers are not needed to raise camping.



Only 6 skills left to go as you can see in the picture. I have 4x +20 skillballs, so shouldn't take long. From what I can see Item ID does not raise without elixier/ball... But I will run the macro for a lot longer and try and ID more things before I rule it out. Remove trap does gain, just painful. I am hoping poisoning gains like normal. I'll have the complete list of which special skills do/do not require elixiers/balls shortly.

EDIT: Poisoning doesn't gain at all by using the skill. Have to use skillball/Elixiers to get it to 120.

Herding won't gain beyond 100. I tried herding everything and anything. I herded a Cu around the forest for a long time. Herding requires elixiers/skillballs to complete.

I used a skillball on Herding, just 3 skills left to gain: Remove Trap, Begging and Forensics. I think only remove trap gains naturally now, the other 2 I have only got to move with elixiers, but more testing needed. I'll be happy when this expensive goal is achieved....

So Chivalry and Herding are the two elixers that are worth trying to sell out of Citadel? Im in there alot so i can start gathering them

Yes, as well as others. So far the following need elixiers or skillballs beyond 100: Hiding, Herding, Chivalry (above 115), poisoning, item ID, Arms Lore. I am testing them all as I complete them. All of the skills I just listed I would sell the elixiers a lot more expensive. Like 1k per 0.1.

The journey comes to an end. I used my last skillball to get the final 5.2 points of remove trap and bought 3 begging elixiers today to get the last skills to 120. Nearly 14.5 years and it is finally done.

So, the TL;DR version for getting the special skills to 120 is:

Hahaha, yes, it was an ignominious way to finish things.... I had collected up a ton of clever maps and was slowly working through them, getting "dem gainz". But yeah, that grind is real and I had the ball sitting there from the raffle stone. If I didn't already have the skillball I would have ground it out (maybe) instead of buying the ball.
