Ok debugger installation is taking much longer than expected. It's progressing though, I think it shouldn't be much longer than 30 minutes.

Server is now online.

Saves at 20 minutes. I am skeptical if this is the end of it, but at least I've added some safeguards that should either prevent it, or log the error and give me a clue as to where to look for this bug.
