Fighting Benedict 101. In his human form I generally stand next to him and just wrestle him, he disarms so often that I stopped bothering to reequip wep and shield. That's his normal hit (in the image), about 200dmg, and he takes about 500dmg when he does that. You cannot do 500dmg every 1.25s with your weapon, only your armor can, so use it to your advantage! Every now and then he will do a few specials in a row and you may need to step back and heal, but he never mortals in this form so as long as you watch your health bar and step back to heal he loses 50% HP and transforms within 1min or so of him hitting himself.

Once in Werewolf form he mortals regularly. Reequip your bow and shield. When he mortals you run back and heal, be prepared to dodge his charge attack. But if you aren't mortal'd just get in as close as possible so he keeps hitting you. As you can see he usually does about 500-1000dmg to himself regularly, more when he hits with a special move like AI. That's why you should avoid weapons with Hit Lower Attack, because if you get the HLA effect on him it makes it so he won't hit you often enough to take the big dmg back and makes the whole fight take longer. You will die fighting the wolf form (the combo of mortal + charge gets you a lot) but just remember that he takes at least 1.5k dmg to do that. So die and res and repeat. I have successfully fought plenty of Benedicts and not died to the wolf form though, especially if they're one of the last bosses and you have room to move. He's much harder when you have to fight in a cramped space so you don't lure other bosses in.

I did a 5x Benedict solo the other day, it is actually pretty straight forward. Just don't try and trap him with the hedge/stone circle/energy field and shoot him. That takes way too long. You won't kill 5 of them in 35 mins without the massive dmg he takes from RPD, bows are just too slow. Be happy to die and you can kill 5 of them in about 25-30minutes...

Remember when you're building your relayers guys that SDI and RPD are the most important stats once you're over 300ish str. Also if you're wondering why I am taking more dmg than you might in those hits it's because I keep my phys resist low, currently 53 (I had to sell some SoT relayers to achieve this). But by taking the extra dmg my RPD does even more. Don't always assume max stats are the best way to go, be creative with your suit and you might find angles that other players haven't... Enjoy!

PS Thanks +C for the coding on these bosses, by far the funnest mobs to fight in the game. Also when will you finally close this quest +C?

PPS This same strategy helps fighting long bosses like travesty that do all phys dmg but is especially good vs the minotaurs in laby. It's great watching them hit you with a special and drop dead in 1hit. Easiest 10k you can make on the server...
